I used NginX before for hosting RTMP server for me to do IRL streaming but that's about it, also I screwed up alot of it too now I have no idea how to fix the RTMP server. I'm planning to buy a domain if this plan plays out like i expected it to. I have a question, which app on Unraid server should I use? there are so many of them. I'm so confused.

I don't know which on I should be using just yet. I want to use Nginx for streaming IRL and reverse proxy at the same time, but I don't know which one that suited for my use case. I did some research and I guess that use it on VM might be the best case for me?

How can I Reverse Proxy with my domain via Nginx ? I'm trying to make my Jellyfin accessable with my domain.

But let's say if I want to do that. I read on a lot of post say that it can be done, using nginx. All i have right now is a domain, what's next I have no idea. I've never used nginx before, does anyone have knowledge about how to use it to reverse proxy?

So I just build my own server using unraid. I already got jellyfin running using docker and tailscale plugin, but what I really want is that I can access to jellyfin anywhere I want and I also want to use it on my smart TV without installing tailscale onto my devices I want to access to. Does anyone know how to do that? If you do,can you teach me in detail how to do that? Please I really needed help on this. Thank you in advance

Hello I'm still new to this subject. I'm currently living in Japan and recently purchased unraid for my home server, I had everthing setup for my local network for file transfering but I had no idea how hard is it to setup a VPN for my Unraid to be accessed outside my local network, I tried following some Zerotier and Tailscale tutorials on YT but non of them worked out for me. Does anyone have some suggestion? I'm happy to provide some more info on the matter but no idea what i'm doing. Thanks in advance.

I'll upgrade it down the road later.

I took a look at the Toshiba drives with model prefix "MG" and it seems like it's more expensive than the Exos but i think I can manage, also, it might take a long time for me to get a 2.5gbps network because they don't support that kind of connection in my building so if I want to get that kind of connection, it'll cost me fortune to get it done, so i think i'll stick with my 1Gbps connection for now. About the RAM question, Does 16GB is enough for my use case? including, Editing video directly on the server, playing media file via PLex, Reading and Writing on server maybe at the same time? Or do I have to upgrade to 32GB?

I was thinking about it too, but on Amazon Japan these ironwolfs are extremely expensive. which is better for my use case? the Ironwolf or the Exos? If I consider buying them new, should I buy the Ironwolf or the Exos? I'm using 1Gbps network. Also I think the 2.5Gbps and above only apply to businesses. So say that my build is good and the HDD is also healthy. Which OS should I use? Unraid, TrueNAS or something else? I use the server for Plex and access file for editing for my Youtube Channel. Also I have Oculus Quest so i tend to watch TV shows, anime and movie through that server.
