  1. I think this happened after the latest major update of windows 10, I'm the title really explains it all. I've tried analog and USB microphones. I tried removing drivers for each device and realtek drivers as well. No luck. Any ideas?
  2. But It never freezes when in the OS if it had something to do with the contacts points wouldn't it freeze in the os as well?
  3. I missed a word and put a 1 instead of an i in i5, not that hard to interpret but fixed.
  4. So I got this motherboard, cpu and set of ram from a friend. Its only about a year old and he got a new motherboard with all around better stuff. i'm trying to get into the bios and change settings here and there but it wont stop freezing. It'll freeze occasionally and then go back to normal. The problem is, I have an i5 6500 and don't want to update the bios because of the embedded microcode updates that prevent overclocking non-k sku cpus. What can I do?
  5. Good news, I figured out how to reset the CMOS and got it boot again. I'm probably not gonna turn off my computer until I get my new psu.
  6. So I finally figured out how to overclock on my motherboard and I got a fairly stable 3.2 ghz on my q9450. I took my cooler of and reapplied thermal paste because before I overclocked my idle Temps were a little high. I put averting back together and booted it up. It worked fine. I restarted my computer to try another OC and it wouldn't post. I turned it off and on multiple times and after a couple of times I heard a clicking coming from what sind like the psu. It's only a 350 watt and I have a pny OC 950. And five case fans and an ssd. Could I have overloaded the psu? I do have a new one coming on Wednesday because it's a 600 watt. I just need to know if I killed the psu or something else.
  7. I have been lied to then. thanks
  8. Can I install 64 bit windows with a q9450. I selected x86 and when it installed it installed 32 bit. Is there any way to fix this. Are there any x86 LGA 775 Processors, because my mobo supports up to 8 gigs of ram.
  9. The Base clock voltage is regular aroun 1.2 but the only overclocking options are 1.5 and other presets that are higher.
  10. So I'm wanting to overclock my q9450 but the problem is my bios on my mobo doesn't want to update. The mother board is a Biostar TP43D2‑A7. I need to update the BIOS because 1. Its a good Idea to and 2. The lowest voltage setting is 1.5v on the vcore. I don't know what to do as I'm new to overclocking in general. My computer is down below just cause.
  11. This would be awesome for having Lan parties and tournaments.
  12. Acronis doesn't clone free
  13. I'm trying to migrate my OS to an SSD and every time I do and try to boot from it it says its missing winload.exe from the system32 folder and I can't figure how to fix it. The software I'm using is AOMEI Backupper.
  14. So the system has 4x1gb of ram in it already. I got two new sticks of 2x2gb. I am having problems getting all 8gb to work. It has 8 slots but the configuration is wonky. It doesn't alternate color, its does 4 white then 4 black not black white black white. The most i've gotten is 6 gigs.
