  1. It tells me to hit Delete to enter bios, so I pressed Delete. I tried the other options such as boot menu. Nothing worked. The motherboard came without a battery, so I put in a brand new battery (Model CR2032), and it still didn't work. Thanks though.
  2. Hi, I recently purchased a motherboard (used, off of ebay) for my system. When I put it in my system and turn it on, it posts, but after that, nothing happens. I can't enter bios by pressing the Delete key when it tells me to, or access the boot menu. When I try pressing a key to enter bios, I hear a beeping sound from the speaker, but nothing happens. It also does not boot up, even though I already have a copy of Windows installed. I believe that this is a bios problem, but is there any way I can fix this? 3. The only reason I asked is because I can get ECC Ram for less money Sorry for the late reply
  4. Hi, I salvaged an i7 2600 and a mobo from a lenovo prebuilt. I was wondering if ECC ram would be supported. I know the cpu doesn't support ECC memory, but I've read online that if the CPU doesn't support ECC and the bios does, the Ram will be treated and used as regular Ram. Is there any program that I can run to see if the mobo supports it? I looked through the bios, and it didn't say anything about Ram.
  5. Price wise, not really Each part is less than 100 for the E5-2670, except mobo a used E5-2670 v2 is about $70
  6. I've seen NAS that cost 1000+... lol oops
  7. By low end, I mean price wise, not spec wise mb I can get the E5 2670 for $70 would any X79 board work with it?
  8. The build is about 500-600... Not too crazy
  9. Hi So I plan on building a low-end NAS for my house. I have 3 builds, but the second one is not complete (missing the mobo). Any mobos I can use for the second one? And which build is better for a NAS? I already have a psu 1st build Intel Core i5-6400 Gigabyte GA-H110M-A Micro ATX LGA1151 Motherboard G. Skill NT Series 16GB Ram WD Red Hard drives, 2TB *2 Silverstone PS07 Case 2nd build Intel Xeon E5-2670 v2 (used) 16GB Ram WD Red Hard drives, 2TB *2 I couldn't find a cheap motherboard for this one, and I don't know what case to use. 3rd build Intel Xeon E3-1220 v3 Supermicro X10SLL-F Micro ATX LGA 1150 Motherboard Mushkin Proline 16GB Ram WD Red Hard drives, 2TB *2 Thermaltake Core V21 Case
  10. i would like the keyboard as I do not have a mechanical keyboard, and I like the feel of mechanical keyboards
  11. My motherboard is a H81M-E34 I think I'm fine with a Haswell, but I'm not sure which processor to get
  12. Which i5 or low power Xeon would you recommend?
  13. I am getting a new graphics card, either a GTX 960, or a GTX 970. My processor is a Pentium G3258, and I'm not sure if it will bottleneck those cards. If it will bottleneck, what is the cheapest processor that I can get without it bottlenecking? Thanks
