DuckyOpus's Achievements

  1. Having only fairly recently entered the PC master race and now becoming a content creator, I need to upgrade off of the membrane Lenovo cheapo "came in my first off-the-shelf-PC box" keyboard I've been using to something actually usable. I've been planning to upgrade for a long time but money is tight. So please, fellow video production group, have some mercy on a poor Ducky! Gaben bless.
  2. Hi there everyone. I'm Cole/DuckyOpus and I'm new here. I'm running a 4790k on an Asus Z97 USB3.1 with a single 970FTW. I don't do as much gaming as I used to, but still dabble every now and then. Mostly I use my rig for video editing for my budding media hobby (you can find me on youtube, just search "DuckWorks" and "Falconry" and it'll pop up). I created an account specifically for the SSD giveaway because even though the 4790k is pretty good it doesn't handle 4k amazingly well even after editing the Adobe files to use the CUDA on the 970, so I could use a scratch disk until I can upgrade the whole system. But that doesn't mean I ONLY did it for the giveaway. I've been meaning to join these amazing forums for a long time. I've lurked too long. Time to join the fun
  3. While I have a 250g SSD (Samsung 850EVO) as my boot drive, I haven't had the money to update my WDgreen drives to SSDs. I'm a budding videographer (shoutout to my boy Brandon), and not having proper scratch disks is a problem currently since I handle 4K footage and will be doing corporate level work here in the next few months. I know there are other ways of handling it, but a dedicated SSD to work from would be a game changer for me until I can upgrade my system as a whole.
