Getting HP ENVY. Im using it for youtube, web browsing, word and powerpoint etc only. Does youtube, web browsing, word and powerpoint require i5? wont be gaming on my laptop.

Getting a new laptop soon and wondering is i should get the i3 or i5. The i5 version cost only 100 usd more. My main concern is the battery life. Im afraid i5 will drain the battery since I'm planning to full charge it at home and use it the whole day in college. So will i5 drain more battery life than i3? is it a lot more?

Getting the 8gb version of the laptop is a lot more expensive than the 4gb version. Was afraid that chrome will eat up my 4gb of ram

Thanks for the advice guys Ill be going for 4gb since it is enough for what im going to be doing on my laptop. Will be doing more intensive work on my desktop.

Going to get a desktop for gaming and other stuff soon. I wont be gaming on this laptop. Basically I want to know is i3 good enough for school work. How different will it be in terms of performance Im considering between HP Envy either the i3 or the i5 version. If i were to pick the i5 version then i might consider macbook air 2016 haha.
