  1. I aimed to have all the parts from one merchant (MSY, since he didn't want to buy from multiple different ones due to shipping costs), so my selections were pretty limited. You think a Pentium G4560 would be better? Thanks, I will take these into consideration.
  2. Hello, A friend of mine is considering building a gaming rig for under $500 AUD. I choose some parts and I was wondering if these would work well together?. My friend is planning to run CS:GO, Rainbow 6 Siege and some other titles. Here are the parts: CPU - FM2+ A6-7400K - $60 Mobo - Gigabyte GA-F2A68HM-DS2 FM2+ Motherboard - $69.95 HDD - Seagate 3.5" BarraCuda 7200rpm 1TB - $65 RAM - 8G Single 2400 Crucial/Kingston ValueRAM - $89 GPU - 2G RX 460 Sapphire - $135 Case/PSU - Antec 450W PSU ASK3450B-U3-P $74 Total - $492.95 AUD Thanks.
  3. Connect it to a linux operating system like ubuntu and delete the infected file from there. Use Malwarebytes to scan your computer another time.
  4. In the garrys mod console, type sv_lan 0 and see if your friend can connect.
  5. Is the mouse plugged into a USB 3.0 port? If so try and plug it into a USB 2.0 port and see if the issue is still there. Has this been a ongoing problem since the day you built it or recently?
  6. Try running a UNIGINE benchmark and see if fps stutters there. Pay attention to the GPU temperature at the top right. If the temps are high and it starts stuttering, this could be a sign of overheating.
  7. Do you hear the beep coming from the speakers or the computer itself?
  8. Pinging localhost pings your computer ONLY. I believe when you attempted to ping yourself before I told you to ping localhost, you were using an IP address that did not exist or using the wrong one. In order for the ping to "reply", you must ping an ip address on the network which exists.
  9. You can buy a wireless router and connect it to the power line adapter which can act as another access point.
  10. So, do you want to connect multiple devices on one powerline adapter?
  11. If it is still not running, try and run the game in ubuntu linux.
  12. Also in virtualbox, tick "Enable 3D Acceleration" in the virtual machines settings, under display. And bump up the video memory.
  13. First, verify if its already enabled by going into task manager, then into the performance tab and check if the "Virtualization" part says enabled. If it says "Disabled", head into your BIOS and head into advanced settings and look for an option called VT/d or "Virtulization Techonology" or something similar.
  14. May I ask why are you attempting to run Team Fortress 2 in a virtual machine? Why not run it directly on your computer? Virtual Machines tend to have a hard time running games even though you have given it some good specs. If your still trying to run it, make sure VT/d is enabled in your BIOS and that virtualbox is using it.
