  1. you should get a 128gb ssd for the operating system and major programs it will speed everything up substantially
  2. if he is just running it in 1080p he won't have to turn any setting down even with the 970
  3. aaah well than that should be fine
  4. the new skylake chips like the i5 6600 and i7 6700 use LGA 1151 not LGA 1150 also skylake uses DDR4 so if a board supports DDR4 and is LGA 1151 it supports the i5 6600 otherwise it isn't compatible
  5. it should but I don't think that board supports i5 6600
  6. ok so I personally think if tereith wants to upgrade then he should
  7. are you sure it's supposed to be released this month? because I heard not for a couple months.
  8. Tereith2050 your build seems great you can upgrade coolers if noise is an issue but overall it can do everything you want it to do
  9. well if he isn't getting the k variant there really is no reason to get an after market cpu cooler.
  10. i7 won't change anything for gaming and you should be able to run pretty much all games on highest 1080p with the 970.
  11. instead of spending over 100 dollars on windows 10 just buy this windows 7 and upgrade when you get it http://www.amazon.com/Windows-Professional-Builder-Refurbished-Installation/dp/B00LG242A0/ref=sr_1_1?s=software&ie=UTF8&qid=1460474700&sr=1-1&keywords=windows+7
