  1. Try using a different monitoring software like hwmonitor and see if you still get the same results... looks like a bug in the software
  2. The read/write speeds on the 850 EVO are going to be higher both random and sequential, so that's what you would be paying for. Whether or not you'd notice a difference, I can't say for certain. I'd say if you are going from a HDD to a SSD you'll be happy with either one, so go with what your budget allows. You probably will be able to tell the difference only if you are paying really close attention, so ultimately go with what your budget allows and don't make compromises somewhere else to get a higher end SATA SSD.

  4. the sniper is a very good motherboard and is to my knowledge the only one on the market in that color scheme. your other option would be to go with a color neutral board like the FTW board http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813188178 or if you are willing to spend a little more the sabertooth is a great board http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813132639&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-PCPartPicker, LLC-_-na-_-na-_-na&cm_sp=&AID=10446076&PID=3938566&SID=. as far as ram goes, painting the heat spreaders is usually super easy to do and ram shouldnt get super hot in that case if you have some fans. I'd say go with some ballistix dimms that are black or white so theyre the same for both of you, then buy some spray pain, take the heat spreaders off and paint the outsides. if you get the sabertooth you can easily paint the "armor" on that as well.
  5. Agreed, though not sure why you have it listed through ebay, I'd much prefer amazon or newegg.
  6. MSI. Yeah firstly because I'm a bit of an MSI fanboy, but I'd like to think that it's because their products are good. I have their 980Ti golden and its a fantastic card.
  7. I'm sad that you think that just because someone recommends something that you don't like that, in your mind, makes them a sellout. Like I said I personally have had good experience with kinguin.net so I threw that suggestion out there for people to take or leave.
  8. I've bought three windows licences from kinguin.net and none of them (after up to 1.5 years) have failed on me. kinguin.net is even recommended by Paul from Paul'sHardware.
  9. go to www.kinguin.net and get a windows licence from there for ~$25, that will save you a bunch of money that you could put into an ssd to speed up your overall experience, other than that it looks good
  10. Guys, this has moved far away from the original reason of the post. Stop fighting
  11. I think Ivan means maybe in the future when the prices come down and they release entry level cards, they'll be worth it. be very wary of crappy deals and READ REVIEWS
  12. What else will you be doing and how often will you be streaming? If you're doing light gaming while streaming you could get away with the 6600k but you'll definitely see a performance bump with the 6700k

  14. If you can swing it get a d5 pump. They're much much higher quality and are also much quieter. Other than that just quintuple check the number and angle of fittings you need, the amount of fluid you'll use, and the amount of tubing you need.
