  1. But you have to state roughly the amount you would like to spend, saying no budget means people can just find the absolute best option for you even if its realistically not what anyone would buy, and most external cards are not that large, I am curious to know how little of space you have that you cannot fit a box.
  2. yeah afterburner should work, and turn it down to like 80% to start, then try 60% if thats not working
  3. you can turn down voltage, around 60C is good for mining
  4. that is pretty high, is it overclocked? and just look up 6 gpu h97 anniversary
  5. 1 keep your current rig, take the psu out and the hdd out, only really need the ssd for a mining rig, you can buy more gpus and risers and put the gpus on risers, then start it all up and run, you really dont need 8 gb of ram or an i5 but if you already have it might as well use it, for gpus i would recommend 480s/580s but they are overpriced right now so 1070s are a good investment, your motherboard choice was lucky, as its one of few that can support 6 gpus with some tweaks, look it up its a thing, if you want to sell the 390 go ahead but its still a good mining card for the most part, software you can do windows or linux, if you do 6 gpus i think you need linux, not sure though, i run windows and use nicehash as its easy to run and i get paid in bitcoin
  6. oioioioioioioioioio, this over and over sounds hilarious
  7. better yes, but nvidia isnt bad, its like an old car vs new for gas mileage, if you have the old one it works great but its helps to have the efficient one, in the current time amd cards are jacked up in price so im going nvidia
  8. well im already mining with a few nvidia cards and they are going strong so no, im not wasting more power, where are you getting your information
  9. cool, thank you, what if i were to jump to 6? what size psu then.
  10. Looking into building a dedicated mining rig but was wondering what kind of psu i would need for 5 970's in one rig, 1000? 1200? what kind of numbers are we talking
  11. you can sell outright and then buy both of them, lots of people would buy your 1080 and monitor off of you on hardwareswap, it isnt just swapping
  12. Please check your information, a 970 is worse than a 1060, 980 is slightly better than a 1060 but worse than a 1070, and a 980 ti is about even to a 1070
  13. That SC black edition tho, now I have 3 more cards to pick from, you know it's a first world problem to have issues deciding between $700 gpus
  14. I like the color, how is cooling on that I know that a friend of mine had issues with the 900 series version of the cooler
  15. The orange accents don't quite fit the color scheme...
  16. So I'm looking to upgrade to a new gpu, I decided on the 1080 ti but haven't quite decide on which custom board to get, I like the Strix and the Amp! Extreme, are there any other cards that run higher clocked or way cooler and fit a red black color scheme, gunmetal gray is ok too
  17. check for parts, make sure it has them all, look to see if they are the same parts he advertised, if they arent then talk him down because they are missing or walk away, and dont sweat it, most people in the pc community are cool people.
  18. honestly if you are mostly gaming, it will be great, it will run games well and last you a few years, down the line you can always just drop in an i7 and a better gpu and go hard for a couple more years. Tl:DR Good pc, good price, I would buy it
  19. not a bad deal, but as some said cpu might bottleneck, if your really that concerned you could buy it, sell the 7600k on something like Hardwareswapon reddit or ebay or craigslist, and then drop in a 7700k, or go and build a full ryzen build, both good options
  20. seems like you primarily game, if thats the casee then go 7700k because it is faster in gaming, but if you find yourself doing content creation often enough then go r7 1700
  21. I agree, had a friend get the G602 and not like it after coming from tons of Razer mice but i tried it and fell in love, the thing fits my hand well, has the heft i need in a good mouse, and my favorite adjustable sensitivity so when i switch between 2 games i can change it real quick and not have to worry about going deep into the settings to adjust every game individually when my steam library is 70+ games
