  1. This is a known problem in windows 10, where 2 monitors with 2 different refresh rates bug out in this way. supposedly being fixed in the next major update, however MS has postponed windows updates due to the pandemic, so who knows when that'll come out.
  2. Oh, I meant the one time it appeared in bios, and then you got into windows but didn't see it, was just wondering if you went to disk management and saw it there.
  3. did you open up drive management in windows and create a new volume?
  4. Should be fine, i was literally playing destiny today for about an hour while folding without realizing my framerate was a bit low. Also I played rise of the tomb raider while folding on full power, and it ran fine other than fps down like 30% but was still above 60 so was still playable. Just wanted to get that job done, but wanted to play
  5. Could it be that I went two days worried that I was getting scammed, only to find out that I wasn't scammed, AND I got the headphones I had planned on getting 2 months from now through massdrop and their laughable delivery times, only 2 days after leaving the drop and was stoked about it? And maybe that feeling of excitement spread to my post when I thought of all the other people in my exact situation who might want to know about it?
  6. try a 5 dollar USB sound card/sound adapter from amazon and see if that helps.
  7. Are you an employee of massdrop or something? There is no other reason for you to be so bothered by someone recommending people go elsewhere. Bet you'd shit yourself if I told you that waiting up to two months to get something from an American manufacturer/distributor, to save maybe 5 dollars on a product is a total scam, because that's most of massdrop in a nutshell, audio products notwithstanding.
  8. Never seen that reddit post, not a big user of reddit, and a friend has the K7xx's, I've listened to them quite a bit. Thanks for questioning even my opinion on my headphones, you're a really pleasant person, so glad you're around.
  9. I of course agree with acknowledging the consequences of my actions, I'm just asking what consequences are there from this deal? The website is a retailer, and has been around long enough to have a ton of reviews from customers, yeah there may be a few more bad then some more known and reputable retailers, but i've only found one or two that question the legitimacy of the products they received (as opposed to amazon, where you can find counterfeit products being sold all over the place, just look at replacement sonicare toothbrush heads, being sold and fulfilled by amazon themselves, all kinds of reviews stating they are fakes, and they're not a good price at all). The price is incredible, but it's also not out of the realm of reality, Amazon has them for $290 right now (which is already a good price, as a lot of places have them for $499 including direct from AKG, and remember, these released retailing for $699), you could easily see Amazon have a flash sale for ~$220. I don't even see how this counts as a morally grey issue, like I said, nobody is dying so that I can buy great headphones for a good price here, blood diamonds was a stupid comparison, no matter how opposed to others saving money you are. Bottom line is, I shared a deal I found, and had an amazing experience with, I also gave a disclaimer stating that I was sketched out before, and am still sketched out, despite having the product on my head as we speak, and being 100% happy with them, the shipping speed is what has me the most uneasy at this point however, and that's just because I've never experienced anything like it in my life, I honestly placed the order and was like if I get these things by mid-March I'll be happy, and I have them in hand less than 48 hours later? From Hong Kong? And I paid nothing for shipping? It doesn't add up, and it flies directly in the face of every single shopping experience I've ever had with international shipping, hell to really put it in perspective, I ordered a Schiit Fulla 2, literally 1 hour after I ordered the headphones, and the Fulla was delivered to my door 3 hours AFTER I signed for the headphones, and it shipped from Los Angeles, with a 10 dollar shipping charge. By the way, the Fulla 2? FANTASTIC little device, clever company as well, on my PC it's labelled as "I'm Fulla Schiit". Was trying to get the schiit stack but the Modi 2 was all sold out, and I didn't want a Magni 2 and a Modi 2 Uber, gotta have the Schiit match and I didn't want to buy the Magni 2 Uber. The Fulla 2 sounds fantastic and might blow my eardrums out with the 712's, which means it has the power for most headphones, easy. Now I just need a good tube amp like the Darkvoice, people say the K7xx and K712 pair wonderfully with tubes. Anyways, there's nothing in it for me if people go for the K712 deal, that's not a referral link (though they did give me one that gives me like 30 dollars credit if someone uses it), it's the standard google link that I linked to. I honestly just made the thread because I am so blown away by my experience, and figure there are others who are interested in the K7xx massdrop sale like I was, and might find this information useful, because the K712's are the same headphones, only better.... Every improvement the K7xx make over the K701/K702, the K712 improves it even more, and the K7xx are great headphones, and are popular for good reason, so if you can get the better version of them for less than them (i live in california so I have to pay tax on massdrop), then this is a smart purchase. I took the risk on my own, and I'm glad I did, sorry if telling others about it, and sharing the fact that I wasn't scammed offends anybody or puts people at risk (like I said, from every review I've read, getting your money back from that site is not much of an issue, neither are returns for the most part....seems par for the course with online retailers), but I really don't see where that other guy is coming from at all. and btw, I too wish they carried GPU's, most of their products are priced very well, but it seems they're pretty heavily focused on cameras (I do want a good DSLR.....), and headphones.
  10. Then I didn't miss your point, I just countered your example with my own point, if I save someone money great, if someone gets ripped off, then according to everyone who was unhappy with their purchase from that site, they can get their money back.... Your use of blood diamonds was ridiculous, because like I said, nobodies dying for headphones here, it's just a good deal that may or may not be legit, and in MY experience, it was completely legit, so I am letting others know, you having a problem with this is just sad.
  11. Then what was your point? Seemed like sarcasm over my opinion that who cares why they're cheap, as long as you get your shit... bringing up blood diamonds seemed an extreme way of saying my opinion was dangerous and has negative consequences... If this wasn't your point, enlighten me, because I refuse to believe you are OK with blood diamonds.
  12. True, but who cares if you get your shit, right? Unopened packaging, sealed retail unit, for cheap, the headphones are 100% legit far as i can tell, and sound amazing. I agree though, it does look suspicious, but they're googles top result for akg k712, in shopping. Not sure if that means anything but I'd like to think google does a little research into who they promote as a retailer.
