  1. heard that its got some horrible security issues
  2. the issue i have with pushbullet is again the message cap.
  3. Ok so here is the situation. the majority of the time i am at my computer and doing things i dont want to have to keep flipping from my phone to my computer since some of the people i talk to are very very chatty. so i started looking into SMS applications for my PC that i could link to my phone and message from my PC. i ran into mightytext but it has a text message limit per month and wants you to pay an exorbitant amount for more so i am looking to switch. i have heard of some but i wanted to throw a line out and have you guys suggest some for me. thank you for all of your help.
  4. that would be fun to look into. i got my I7 6700k in the mail today and should get the other parts within the next week for my build. might do some tinkering for fits and giggles.
  5. So i had a thought earlier today and i figured this would be the best place to ask. will overclocking an I7 6700k slow down the integrated graphics component? i have no experience with overclocking so i figured id ask for my own curiosity.
  6. Mk im going to take a guess and assume that you know next to nothing about computers. no this is not expensive this is a very low end computer designed with the sole purpose of being able to do things now while not blocking me off from a decent upgrade path in the future (this is why i chose the skylake i3 so that later on i could upgrade to the skylake i7 unlocked) also the skylake i3 is not a bad CPU in its own rights. the reason i chose the M.2 drive was for fast boots. i also chose a smaller drive because i wanted to block myself off from adding things into the same drive as the OS, this is for many reasons some of which include safety of my information as well as should my main drive go down it will not take any toll on the other drives, now i could have gone with an SSD but the boot times for OS on an SSD are significantly slower than that of an M.2 drive. I went with the 1060 because upgrading a videocard is dumb and should be done rarely. now could i have cut the GPU price, yes but the more you cut back from that the less performance you will get. this whole post was for constructive criticism and you have fail to provide anything worthwhile to the conversation
  7. considering a work two jobs and go to school full time try again with that insult. some people have things like yeno a car payment or maybe insurance. also each one of those things you put up there. all M.2 drives. the reason they even created the M.2 is because it is connected directly to the board which allows for faster access.
  8. for gaming and for the other kinds of things i will be doing Intel is better. if you are just building a surfing machine then AMD is the way to go.
  9. haha well yea and no. personally i prefer the things that intel and nvidia bring to the table. i could build a PC with the theoretical specs of this rig for cheaper but i wouldnt feel comfortable with it i dont think.
  10. its not an SSD. its an M.2 drive. very very different as far as pricing and speed are concerned. and the reason for buying a i3 is because buying an i5 is stupid and an i7 is very expensive. i am poor. thus we go with i3 for now to upgrade to i7 when i need it.
  11. said i wasnt going to put games on it. i dont plan on putting anything on the boot drive. its a personal thing i have against clutter and how it messes with operating systems
  12. i am considering using windows 10. a 64-bit copy of that takes up 20GB's leaving a headroom of 12GB's. honestly i am perfectly happy with not installing programs on to the M.2 and just using one of my spare harddrives lying around till i can buy a 1TB.

  14. So here is the thing. i have a very limited budget and have been slowely curating a good 1080P system for about the last year. saw some stuff that gave me a little inspiration this week so i created a new build with what i think is a good upgrade path. the plan is to play the new games well and eventually upgrade the CPU for streaming later on down the road. http://pcpartpicker.com/list/LpWjZ8 I only ask that you not recommend AMD as i have had no experience with that at all and there appears to be people who love AMD just because they are AMD.
  15. i figured id ask here to double and triple check myself before i bought. i mean its not like its out of the realm of possibilities for me to mod the case myself. but id rather not.
