  1. Why didn't he mention anywhere in the video how is this thing powered (or did I just miss it)?
  2. I'd love the get my hands on the Kova, it looks amazing and since it from Roccat I bet it feels amazing too. Plus I'm counting on it help me get some of those valuable MMR points in Dota 2 everyone's so obsessed about!
  3. My laptop runs weekly defrags, so it's not fragmented at all, but now that you pointed it out I think i'm gonna turn it off so I don't stress it more than is needed. In terms of backing up I have managed to upload most of the VERY important stuff onto google drive, but i'm still left with about 40GBs of photos (amateur photographer) which would be a pain in the ass to back up on dvd discs. Still i guess that's my only bet if I wanna keep them. Brb gonna prep for 5 hours of disc burning ...
  4. Quick update: chkdsk is done and apart from the uncharacteristic noises it didn't find anything out of the ordinary.
  5. Thanks a bunch to both of you, i'll see what I can figure out in terms of back up and hope it'll live long enough so i can afford a replacement one.
  6. The drive is 1.5-2 years old, so it can't be considered super old. I'm running the check right now and it's making some squealing noises, is that normal? PS: so far it looks normal.
  7. It's from the same WD Lifeguard software I used to get the result from the second pic.
  8. So my laptop does this weird thing (most often while watching youtube videos) - it does this sort of "stutter" - the screen freezes and it plays the last bit of audio repeatedly (e.g. - a-a-a-a-a-a). Yesterday I decided to investigate further and played some Halo and it did the stutter while in-game too. It happens very often if I happen to be downloading something and watching a youtube video at the same time. I ran some HDD tests and I need your help to make some sense of the results. These are the results I got from CrystalDiscInfo I also tried the Western Digital dedicated software (My HDD is a WD Black 2,5" 750GB) I also ran an extended test but forgot to screen it, but it said it's also good. And here is where it gets a bit scary. And somewhat controversial. So can anyone help me make any sense of this data, and tell me if my HDD is really failing? I know there's no way to really tell, but if it is can you guys give me some sort of a deadline as to when to expect a complete failure, because right now I can't afford to buy a new HDD and I have no way of backing up my info. Thanks in advance.
