  1. i dont need to stream video, i just one to take a picture every 5-10 min with multiple cameras (5) using one computer
  2. I want to continuously potograph 5 - 10 cell culture dishes with multiple webcams (like a logitech c920) ideally all plugged to the same computer. Is there a program that could help me do that? i dont want to go full VMs route (if that would even work)
  3. yeah then it is when you are under heavy use. Laptops can be very inconsistent on their hardware use. my old 7567 used to have 20% activity from WMI activity host or something. Maybe there is a random background app using up your system resources and therefore your laptop things it is under heavy use. and as such has this red light indicator
  4. does that happen when you are playing? or doing what in particular? Old laptops had this thing where lights turn red when they are in heavy use
  5. we are on the same boat, my 8700k also seems higher temps than everyone elses. even after a repaste. Maybe you are either in spring where you live or room heater is high.
  6. it is stock now. I got two 120mm be quiet silent wings 3 on the front. 1 140mm slient wings 3 on the back, and two phantheks 140mm on top getting air in
  7. So i recently got a laptop, and it came with a aw588 alienware mouse. I got the box but the mouse is used. How much do you think I could sell it for?
  8. i actually did that yesterday. it was way worse before
  9. if you buy new, I would go for the 2080 mainly for resale values. There isn't much future proofing with ray tracing, those cards will be obsolete by the time that takes off (they peformance was shown to be awful in the Nvidia keynote). If anything, an argument could be made for the 11gb of video memory that a 1080ti for fute proofing. But to be honest the rtx 2080 does just fine anyways. If you can buy a used 1080ti, then i would jump on those. I got my 1080ti for close to 450USD for example
  10. Don't worry, I already bought a laptop, thank you for your help
