  1. I considered that, but I feel like it wouldn't look great. I might try it out though. EDIT: Ok, so I tested it. It looks fine on the inside logo, but on the back of the screen, the logo I'm actually concerned about, the color didn't match and it looked pretty bad.
  2. On this recent Black Friday I bought an Acer Predator Helios 300 because it was on sale for a pretty good deal. $930 ($1020 with taxes) for a 9th gen 6 core i7, GTX 1660 TI 6 GB, 144 Hz display, etc. So far I've been happy with it, and it's certainly a lot better than my previous laptop. The overall design is not overly gaudy, but one thing that bothers me a bit is the back logo. It looks pretty nice, and the light isn't overly bright or anything, but being out in public with a laptop that says PREDATOR on the back isn't exactly the appearance I'm going for. Basically I'm looking for opinions on a good way to cover up that logo without hurting the aesthetic of the laptop. A sticker is an option, I suppose, but I'd have to find a sticker I like a lot. I couldn't find any very good laptop skins for it, and I don't think I want to try personally vinyl wrapping it.
  3. I've just started the search for a new laptop. I've had my current laptop, a MSI Ge72 Apache Pro-242 with a GTX 970M, 16gb of RAM, intel core i7-5700HQ (2.7, boost 3.5, 4 real cores, 8 with hyperthreading), 17.3 inch 1080p screen, 1 TB HDD with a 256 GB NVME SSD I added myself. It's been great for me over the years, but I've had some issues. The monitor is broken, mic and mini displayport don't work, and battery life has always been pretty low. Thermals used to be very high as well, but after repasting it's been ok as long as I blow out the dust with compressed air every once in a while. It's also pretty big with a 17.3 inch screen, which is nice but it also makes it tough to take around. Given that I got it used on eBay in 2016 for a pretty good deal, I've been happy with it, but next year I'll be going to university and I'll need a laptop that is more portable with better battery life and actually has a functional monitor (currently I basically use it as a desktop). I'm limiting my budget for the new PC to around $1.5k, but if something really stood out as a great buy I might consider going over that. I haven't done a crazy amount of research yet, but so far this Asus laptop (or perhaps the RTX 2070 version) stands out as looking pretty good within the price range. Of course, the battery life still isn't great, but I can't expect much given the other specs I'm interested in. Given that I mostly just play League of Legends I could probably settle for a slightly less powerful system if it meant a much longer batter life and other useful features. Any thoughts or recommendations? Thanks
  4. Thanks for the suggestion, but yeah, that is a bit more than I really want to pay, and considering I'm moving up from 15$ headphones, I think the audio quality on the HyperX Cloud Cores will be enough to impress me already. Thanks though, that does seem like a pretty solid option for a 100$ or so budget.
  5. Hmm. Waiting for Black Friday would probably be a good idea, but at the same time I don't know if I want to go two months without a microphone. Thanks for the suggestion though.
  6. From what I've heard/ seen the Core is pretty Similar to the Cloud II, but the II has a few more accessories and stuff. How do you like the HyperX Cloud IIs? Judging on your comment I can tell you like them, but any specific comments about them?
  7. I've been using a Gamdias Hebe headset for about 2 years now that I got for 15$ (Newegg sale), and for the price I think they've definitely been really good for me, but the mic just recently stopped working, and the fake leather material that covers the earcups is starting to peel off. I've been looking around a bit for replacements, and the HyperX Cloud Core seems like a really good option, but I'd like to get some outside input. My budget is about 60 dollars, but of course, I don't want to be spending money for a product that's just as good as something cheaper. Thanks for helping me out, Cutout
  8. Is it possible your CPU is being a bottleneck? It seems like that shouldn't be a problem, but if the CPU is running hot and throttling or having a lower than recommended frequency for some other reason, this could be the case. What kind of framerates are you getting?
  9. If by worst you mean least powerful... Well I've got an old TRS-80 model 3. It's got 48 kilobytes of RAM, an single core 8-bit 2.03 megahertz processor, and no long term storage built in, you have to use floppy discs to do anything.
  10. Does the difference between 59 and 60 hertz really matter to you? I'd just leave it at 59 and not worry about it.
  11. I'm not sure this forum is a good place to get data for this. Most of the people here are a gamer or enthusiast of some sort and therefore spend more on their PCs than an average user does. I'll fill it out for you still, good luck with this.
  12. Are khail switches worth considering? They're generally cheaper than Cherry switches, but lots of people say they're lower quality as well. Anyone have any good information on that? I've seen some low priced khail keyboards with pretty good reviews.
  13. I think that's just a num lock but with no label. Test it out, try pressing it then trying to use the number pad, then try pressing it again and trying again.
