  1. I've had my SSD paired with a HDD for a couple of months now. OS speed is amazing. The only thing that has always bothered me, is that every program I download defaults to the SSD as installation location, since that is where my OS is installed. I really don't need programs like Spotify or Corsair Link to be installed on the SSD. Since I've ordered a new GPU I want to take this as an opportunity to reset my PC so everything gets cleaned up. With the new installation I'd ideally like to only install the OS on the SSD and everything else on the HDD. Is there a way to get programs to default to your D drive and create all the necessary folders automatically, like Programs x86?
  2. Yeah I'll just keep it the way it is now. In summer I'll see again! Thanks for the help
  3. Unfortunately only have 1 fan in the front. I think my GPU heats up the air inside and isn't an exhaust. The fan in the back seems to be 120mm and the one in front 140mm so I also can't really move the fan to the front
  4. Unfortunately there isn't enough space to mount them above the radiator. A case fan at the back would be blocking everything. I don't overclock but have an i7 7700k which tends to run pretty hot already out of the box.
  5. You let the liquid get that hot? Right now my CPU tramps are still completely fine (mid 60's when playing GTA5) but I'm worried when summer comes around and my ambient temperature rises from 20°C to almost 30°C
  6. Can't take a picture right now, but they look like this. I didn't have static pressure on my radar for some reason. Should have done my research properly.
  7. I got new fans for my Corsair 100i v2! Namely the Corsair ml120 pro's. I used to get liquid temperatures of 33-34°C when gaming on the silent preset in Corsair Link. Now I get liquid temps of about 37°C on that very same preset. I know that the ml120's overall don't have as a high RPM as the original fans but even on a higher preset like Default or Performance I'm getting higher temperatures. I have to say that I have my fans sucking air into the case. If I have them pushing air out of the case I get even worse temperatures. Does anyone know why I have increased temperatures now? Might it be worth trying a push-pull configuration? Thanks in advance!
  8. My Logitech G403 recently started lagging for a couple of minutes when I restart my system. The lag will eventually go away, but it's still very annoying to be barely able to use the mouse for quite some time after booting. I've tried multiple different USB ports, reinstalled the mouse drivers, updated my BIOS, hell, I even factory reset my whole system with no positive result. I used the mouse for 3 months + without any issues. I assume this is a software related issue since the lag always vanishes after some time. Does anyone here face the same problem?
  9. I built this PC a couple of months ago https://pcpartpicker.com/list/gmhKm8 I'm still not satisfied with the cooling performance of the CPU cooler. The Corsair h100i v2 can only be installed at the top of my case. I need to have it pull air into the case because if I use it as an exhaust coolant temperatures go insane for whatever reason. Up to 40°C without putting load on the CPU. I'm using rubber washers to eliminate any possible rattle but the fans of the cooler itself are annoyingly loud even at 800 RPM which is the lowest you can set them to with Corsair Link. SpeedFan for some reason isn't able to controll the fans. I need to have the fans run at about 2100 RPM, (which makes gaming without headphones an annoying experience because of the ridiculous amount of noise that is being produced by the fans) for most games to maintain a coolant temperature of about 35-38°C with an ambient temperature of about 23°C. Yesterday while playing Shadow of Mordor, which puts only about 30% load on the CPU I was getting coolant temperatures of up to 41°C which led to CPU temperatures in the low 70's. Of course this partly was because of the high ambient temperature of 28°C but I expected that I wouldn't have to ditch rendering on hot days because the cooler can't perform well enough. I know that the i7 7700k runs pretty hot but from other user reports with the same CPU and Cooler combo I've come to the conclusion that I'm getting higher temperatures than I should. Do you guys have an idea on how I could improve the cooling performance? Could it be that my case has really bad airflow?
  10. I can't really hear a difference but the newer model is supposed to sound slightly better. I think I'll keep it, thanks guys
  11. Slightly different looks, updated drivers, updated mic
  12. That's exactly why I'm asking here first and not running to their support straight away.
  13. Last year I bought the Creative Sound Blaster X H7 Headset for 130€ on Amazon. Recently I had to do an RMA because one of the cables broke. Today I received my replacement, which happens to be the Sound Blaster X H7 Tournament Edition which only came out in March this year. This newer version costs 120€ on Creative's website but is going for 100€ everywhere else while the previous version is still going for 120€. Do I message Creative and ask them for a refund? Or do I just roll with it, being happy that I got an updated version for free of an already great headset?
  14. I've tried it without the top panel using the cooler as an exhaust. Cooling performance was amazing
  15. Hmmm. I have read about people achieving significantly lower temperatures on Overwatch with the same cooler and CPU
