I will definitely look around for a spare hdmi but the fact it only happens while using things like youtube and facebook but not full or windowed screen gaming means most likely not a cable issue.

I am having a whole screen flicker/stutter where the screen goes black. This is never during a game(at least so far) I have only noticed it while using web browsers. If I am on youtube it doesn't matter if a video is full screen or not, when scrolling down my facebook news feed, and when watching other media on sites like HBO or Showtime. I have kept Task Manager open and it flickers as well. Also I have turned off power save mode in the Nvidia control panel with no effect. Again, I have only noticed this while an internet browser is on. I have completely removed my 1080 drivers installing most recent and previous builds. Thanks for the info about 750 being fine everyone. Just discovered it wasnt a power issue, the Kraken I installed was saying that the pump was on and running but it wasnt. Overheated my card and now its limping and only able to function above 800x600 in safe mode.

SSD for the OS changed my life, definitely a must have. Cold start to Facebook in 30 seconds, could be faster if I didnt have a lock screen. Like djdwosk97 says a 240GB is perfect. If you can afford it though using SSD for games isnt a bad idea either.

Im using a NZXT Hale90 750W and the issue is only one card will work at a time the other gets turned off by windows for reporting problems. Also randomly 1 to all of my USB ports shut off and I need to restart. I recently added 1 Kraken x40 + G10 and 1 Kraken x31 + G10, it was working fine for about 5 minutes then my pc crashed and did an error check. On startup 1 pump repeatedly failed and when I finally got it up and running the second card would only work if it was the only plugged in.

I recently ran into a power problem and ordered a Corsair RM1000x. Is a 1000 watt overkill? If so I'd be fine with returning it and buying something smaller/cheaper. Right now my 750 just isnt cutting it (or at least thats what I think the problem is) Rig 8350 @ 4.8GHz Gigabyte 990fx 2x MSI GTX 970 OC Cooling 1x Kraken 41x 1x Kraken 40x + G10** 1x Kraken 31x + G10** *After adding the 2 Kraken+G10 combos is when only one of my cards would boot at a time and intermittent USB peripheral problems started

You should be fine with a 750, Im using a 8350 at 4.8GHz and 2 MSI OC 970s and 16GB Mem, didnt run into a power problem until I installed my second and third Kraken water coolers onto my 970s

I have 2 GTX 970s in SLI and only one will work at a time, this is a new problem they had both been working fine. I recently added 1 Kraken x40 + G10 and 1 Kraken x31 + G10 It was working fine for about 5 minutes then my pc crashed and did an error check. On startup 1 pump repeatedly failed and when I finally got it up and running the second card would only work if it was the only plugged in. I'm wondering if anyone knows if this is a PSU issue? I don't know if its because mine isn't big enough. windows 10 crash whit a pci wireless dapter
Dman621 replied to Last_Shadow98's topic in Troubleshooting
If you still have your windows 7 key on the side of your computer you could borrow someones win 7 install cd and use your original key to authenticate it. -
For upgradability wouldnt it be better to still go with skylake? Advancing now to a board with lga 1151 would be a better investment than buying a lga 1150 mobo now then replacing it again when moving up to skylake in the future

What reason are you suggesting I return my 970? To everyone else ty for the heads up about the cpu bottleneck. Any recommendations? I was thinking about switching to the i5-6600k with 16gb ram and the MSI Titanium Z170a. Would I still be limiting myself? Im trying not to have to upgrade something every six months

windows 10 crash whit a pci wireless dapter
Dman621 replied to Last_Shadow98's topic in Troubleshooting
Just a troubleshooting question here, have you tried using the pc still connected by a wired connection with the card plugged in? Also you should try the card in another machine running windows 10 to rule out whether windows 10 is the issue or if it is the pci slot on your mobo. Make sure you update the drives via a wired connection before using the card. Also windows 10 forced an update affecting how your computer utilizes internet connect via flash. I had many a program crash after this update including the software controlling my fans. After uninstalling the update 'KB3132372' all went back to normal -
Odd question, I just installed another gtx 970 into my system and saw barely any increase in performance while seeing a drastic increase in my original cards operating temperature. I actually had to open one side of the case and move around my fans just to keep the excess heat from affecting my cpu. The motherboard I am using only has 2 PCIe 2.0 x16 and no PCIe 3.0 Because SLI config lowers to a x8 bandwidth on each card am I limiting my PCIe 3 cards with them being in PCIe 2.0 slots at a x8 bandwidth? I'm pretty concerned as my performance in games isnt nearly what I expected it to be(mostly Attila Total War) even when setting on nvidias or the games recommend for your system option Specs Mobo - Gigabyte 990fxa-ud3 CPU - AMD FX 8350 at stock 4.2 GPU - 2x MSI OC Edition GTX 970 Memory - 1x Hyperfuryx 8GB 1866
