    2021? probably a right timeline considering ampere 2nd line up release at that time. i'd say you'd be able to buy it for the price of 1660.

    Lol honestly probably because I waited until late 2019 to get a 980 ti I'd been wanting since 2015 for half the asking price it's going for. I really do want a 1080 ti though because it still shits on most of the RTX lineup

    my big ass dream is to have a hold of a wad of full cash in my hand to buy a bleeding edge Nvidia flagship GPU within a week of it's announcement. realistically that's around 2024 if im calculating things right. my current plan is to get a RTX 2060 near this September or atleast 1660ti which i skipped last month as a basic upgrade to ditch my long kept 7750. it's shit for gaming, but it does provide the 10bit support for my monitor, it was the best in its budget class at that time.

    If youre spending rtx 2060 money why not spend a little more for a used 1080 ti ($400) and get 2080 performance lol

    yeah.. about that. i kinda dislike "used" stuff. something of a weird personal habit i have.

    Keep looking and good deals pop up all the time ;) It does take a bit to weed out the ones that are actually fakes though.

    Save up, and at the end of the summer when the new stuff drops you should see the market flood with systems.

    What are you looking to spend? You can get 1070s for next to nothing and if you go the system route 1070Ti's are very affordable.

    @Tech_Dreamer You're...13?

    if you look at the petty shit i post daily here i'd probably lower that scale a lot more.

    realistically at a range of $200 -$300(+20) range . so it should be same cards we talked about here at any given time for the next few months unless ampere is announced at this months GTC. Real problem is my commitment on buying something now . i have this idea to do a solid ground up PC Build. that version is planned without a fixed price except i hoard as much cash possible & dump everything on it one day & deal with the price or whatever the site throws at me. so less spending on an upgrade now is a thing im considering seriously unless absolutely necessary.

    probably unrealistic for a 1080 ti but like 250ish? The thing about the 1070s is I currently have 980 Ti and it already surpasses it with a mild OC of 1462 Core and the 1070 Ti is not much higher. there is the 1080 which is around the price range im looking for but i still want the 1080 Ti lol. I have the money to spend but im just a cheap ass tbf

    @Tech_Dreamer I was looking at the fact you think it'll take you 4 years to save up enough money to buy a video card.

    Haha, the way you put that makes it sound like it'll be pretty wasteful. Then again I always buy last gen parts as with a little planning and patience you can build a system for a couple hundred dollars all the way down to it making you money ?‍♂️

    @VenomZ_ That'd be pretty easy to do even now actually. Just follow auctions long enough that one pops up with a 1080Ti, manage a good bid, and you could walk away with a card for that once you've sold everything else. Requires more initial investment but it's worth it in the long run. The 1070Ti is better price/performance than the 1080, as they're almost equal, but yeah, the 1080Ti is the one to wait for.

    Frugal. The word to describe people like us is frugal ? Like, yeah, I could buy a new car...or I could buy one needing (sometimes significant) work, and then sell it on par or for a profit later on, instead of a significant loss. All the PCs I've made for myself have been from used (or purchased on eBay/classifieds new) parts...but part of me just likes getting things in the mail.

    main problem is im on the process of trying to pay off another thing, if i hadn't had that issue i'd be able to buy a PC in like 5-6 months time. i really dont have to, but it's a voluntary decision i made to clear things out of my way as 'early' as possible.
