  1. Thank you all for your input! Now that I've put some more thought, I might not need a 970m or 980m, as I'm already moving up from a laptop with Radeon R6 Graphics and an AMD A10 processor. Thank you all for your advice!
  2. Hello! I'm buying a new gaming laptop for my birthday next week, and I'm looking for the best one to buy for my dollar My budget cap is $1500, and I want the strongest specs I can get for my money. I want this to be as close as a desktop equivalent as possible. I've spent a lot of time doing research, and I believe that the strongest computer for my money, when looking at specs alone, is the Asus G751 (GTX 980m model) that goes for about $1480 on Newegg. The reason why I need a new laptop, however, is because my older, (granted, cheaper) laptop, the Asus X550ZA, broke on me, and the warranty doesn't cover the damages. So, I guess my real question should be "How durable is the Asus G751?". I really want the 980m version, but if I get the 970m version, I can afford a 3 year damage warranty that covers everything. Do you think that this laptop will break in 3 years? I could probably afford an additional repair fee sometime down the road, and I'd have the basic warranty for 1 year through Asus. Also, I'm open to other suggestions if there are any other laptops with the 980m under $1500, and would be happy to take a look at them!
  3. What I like about the projector is how close it can be to the wall! My school uses similar projectors that hang from the wall, but they fall short when it comes to latency and size of the projector. While there are many places that could take advantage of this technology, I feel that a college dorm room could take the greatest advantage of the PF1000U. It's a place that typically has little space, and would not be the safest to have an expensive monitor or TV hanging on the wall.
