  1. I replaced my gpu today and i plugged in the usb one on the side of the fan, where do i go to turn it off? I can't find it in the ryzen master program
  2. Is that why they gave me the extra cables in the box with it? Do I just plug it in to the cooler where those little things you can flip out and plug in and then put it into a usb slot?
  3. So after a long 5 hours of removing old hardware and installing new hardware I finally installed my new mobo cpu and ram. I didn't chose a cooler but the 3700x came with a cooler already. I want to know how to disable or change the RGB on my cooler fan as it doesn't match the theme of my pc colors. I installed it through the cpu fan header at the top of my board and thats it. I was told try the AMD Ryzen Master program but I can't find it anywhere in there. I will be going in on sunday or sometime sooner than that to install my GPU so if the suggestion involves going inside the pc i will be doing so then.
  4. Ok so the x570 is 3000 ready correct? I'm thinking about that one
  5. Hello there, I'm trying to find a good ATX motherboard that will support the 3700x right out of the box without any bios flash, I can't seem to find the B450 Tomahawk on amazon if anyone can link me that, I might just be blind or something. I don't need anything too fancy, I might try overclocking down the road but as of right now I'm not going to overclock it. Doesn't need to have RGB on it, I'd prefer if I could turn it off actually unless it can sync up with corsair icue. Somewhere around the $100-150 range would be nice. Thanks
  6. So I'm thinking of upgrading my current system because I always seem to pussy out on my buys and try to go with cheap options which blow up in my face for example a 1-2 years ago i bought my cpu, i5 7600k, and about 2-3 years ago i bought my gpu, gtx 1060 gb, decent pc but i feel like its dying as even battlefront 2 is freeze framing. So I'm deciding to upgrade and need some suggestions The cpu im currently going with is a ryzen 9 3900x and an RTX 2070 super, would go with 2080 but budget doesnt allow that so those two are set in stone. I'm in need of a mobo, ram and cpu cooler suggestion. I'm thinking of a B450 but not sure which kind as I hear you need to bios flash those and I have never done that before. Ram im deciding between 16gb and 32gb, not sure which I should get, im leaning towards 16gb as 32 seems unnecessary but thats what I said 4 years ago when I built my first ever pc and got 8gb of ram and everything seemed to jump to needing 16gb. CPU Cooler im hesitant on, I've always done air cooling because its reliable, cheap, and good for my needs. I never liked the thought of water in my pc because of leaking, whether it be AIO or custom, but I heard that companies like corsair have made it so that its super tight and are more likely to have a pump fail then water leak, but thats the other problem, what if the pump dies on me, I'm out of a cpu cooler So if you have any suggestions for anything please let me know, I'm at about a 1300-1350 budget so if you can get better price to performance for me by switching the cpu and/or gpu and such, let me know. Thanks! Edit: I'm also buying everything off amazon, I would buy off newegg but I have to specifically buy off amazon so send US Amazon links if you have any.
  7. Alright update, they wont unban me
  8. yeah just waiting for discord, but do you know if xfinity does it specifically?
  9. I recently got into a big mixup with discord false banning my alt which then proceed to ban my ip. Was wondering since I have comcast xfinity, if there is any way to change my public static ip so im no longer ip banned from discord. thanks Alright update, discord won't unban me so I need to know how to change it. I can't edit my mac address for some reason with Comcast default router and modem.
  10. So I'm trying to get a program that requires java on a linux machine that im connected to through SSH. I don't know any terminology about linux or ssh, if they are the same, or anything like that. So just a breakdown on my program. It requires Java SE Development Kit 12 or 13. It has 2 files on my pc, a .bat file and a .sh file. The machine currently has java installed. when I do "java -version" in the ssh client it says it is running "openjdk version 11.0.5 2019-10-15" Now if I were to download this file onto the machine somehow, which I haven't figured out yet either and I run the java program. I need a popup window because it will start pasting stuff into the command prompt. How would I go about doing that?
  11. I figured it out, it was called a boot loop, all i had to do was take out the ram sticks, clean out the dims then put them back in
  12. So i just cleaned out my pc and all that, only things i did were unplug the front header usb 3 then plug it back in and put in the cover for the back of my pcie slots because i removed a wifi card. Nothing else was changed, just cleaned it out, and now it does this IMG_2872.MOV
  13. so who owns the rights to sell domains to companies like them
  14. Like what is allowing them to own every domain or sell access to that domain. what is stopping me from just gaining it myself for free somehow. I'm just confused how godaddy and namecheap can sell the same domain at different prices and still give people access to it.
  15. So I am getting powerline adapters because Wifi 2.4ghz is getting on my nerves. Parents won't do direct ethernet because my router is in the basement and my pc is on the top floor so I am doing powerline adapters. I was suggested to get the Netgear Powerline 1000 and a Cat 5a Ethernet cable for them. Just wanted to know if it is necessary to have them both plugged into the same electrical circuit. My house was built in 1990 so I think powerline adapters shouldn't be a big issue but there always is that maybe.
  16. The reason I want to upgrade my PSU is for 2 things, 1. its 80+ and 2. Its non modular and the case I am getting doesnt have space for extra cables from what I hear so I need to get a modular one. The one I currently have is some company I've never heard of and isn't 80+ anything. I mean, the HD120s in a 3 pack are $72/e instead of $100/e
  17. wym? I'm only getting a new case and those 6 hd120 fans, later on i would like to upgrade to somewhere around a rtx 2080/ti and an i7 8700k
  18. So when I first built my pc I got a super fucking overkill psu that I still have 700w for an amd fx 4350 and a gt 730, yeah ik. I still have the same powersupply after 4 years but now I'm upgrading it. I was thinking of getting a 750w 80+ gold PSU but now I'm rethinking what I should get. What do you think is recommended for my PC specs? My Current specs: i5 7600k no overclock Cooler Master Hyper Evo 212 with only 1 fan MSI H110m Gaming MOBO (Micro ATX) Gigabyte GTX 1060 +120mhz core +300 memory 1 TB Samsung 860 EVO 1TB Western Digital Blue 6 Corsair HD120 Case Fans with their controller and fan hub thing Idk if these matter but 1 24" 144hz monitor 1 21.5" 60hz monitor
  19. Just upgraded to this cpu 1-2 years ago so i still got some time on it
  20. What do you suggest I get then? I don't wanna spend a shit ton on a motherboard
  21. I'm looking to upgrade a bunch of stuff soon for my pc and a motherboard is on the list since I fucked up the first time and bought a micro ATX even though I bought an unlocked cpu with it. I was wondering if the Z170A motherboard, or specifically this one can overclock my cpu. Thanks
  22. I'm looking into getting the Arctis 7s and I just want to know which one is better, understandable the 2019s will be better but i wanna know in what ways they will be better than the legacies.
  23. Some games could get 144hz like cs, gmod, (dont judge) even minecraft, i intend to upgrade later down the road but the G24C has 110% sRGB so its a nice monitor for my graphics design stuff i do, siege also gets around 100fps on high settings so i could defenatly push it past 144fps
