    I see. Well, I'm also pretty much at the limit of how much I can spend on this Folding Month. I'll keep this up until the end, but then, sadly, I'll have to drop to "normal" levels of PPD, with just my own single 2080 TI.

    Well, I guess lucky for him, I'm not gonna keep this level of folding up after the event. This is because most of my folding power is from rented rigs.

    Now finally the first morning in what feels like an eternity where I didn't wake up just to see some of my GPUs sitting idle. Thank you, F@H. And seeing that noone here has mentioned it for a while now, I assume the download bug is resolved for you guys too?

    I was wondering about that some time ago: How much are you guys paying for electricity in your countries? Here in germany it's around 0.25 EUR per kWh, that's roughly 0.27 USD.

    Okay, but ASICs take that approch to the next level. Instead of few instructions, high speed (GPUs), they are usually one (or few) instructions, ultimate speed. Fine, I think both sides have a fair point in this discussion. But most people (even ones from this tech forum presumably) don't immediately think of GPUs when they hear the word ASIC.
