  1. Well ill go for full fuck it. Trying to reinstall it just gets stuck on installation starting (or something like that) Just gonna see if it's just slow as hell or what Also the PCI slot didn't make a difference
  2. Hi all. I got some issues after i upgraded my GPU. I upgraded from a 1080 to a 2080 super. First startup was normal, but when i tried to uninstall the old drivers things started to get funky. For starters it's not guaranteed that the pc will load windows like it's supposed to, not on the IGPU, the 1080 or the 2080. Sometimes the OS loads but then i have troubles with installing drivers from Nvidia the installation might just get stuck at the "Preparing to install" phase. Sometimes the pc will try to do am Automated OS Repair, which usually ends up rebooting and then getting stuck trying to load the OS again. I've tried to reseath the GPU, everything is plugged in where it should be. Tried to make a USB to reinstall windows, this gets stuck either loading the USB or preparing the install (again) I have absolutely no clue whatsoever to what is causing this issue. Only other thing i did was wiping down the dust and reorganizing the cables and some fans. Please help
  3. In Denmark 1KWH is about 0.31 USD. My pc is on about 8 hours a day, about 4 are spent on gaming. If we say we dont care about idle loads that makes for 4 hours of roughly 400W usage (its not at full load) for Vega and 250 for my Nvidia setup. So for Vega thats 1,6Kwh and Nvidia 1kwh for a day thats 0,48 usd and Nvidia 0,31 usd, difference of 17 cents a day which i admit is not alot, though it is the same graphics power and all that extra heat has to go somewhere. So after a week i save 1,19 usd after a year its 61,88 usd. So its no longer 50 bucks less i payed but 12 i spent on extra power and this just keeps rolling. That said beefier cooling also comes at a price. Some may not care that their fans need to be at 50-60% usage or higher, but for some who strives towards a silent PC without going for a custom loop, a higher TDP (which equals more heat and higher noise levels) is not acceptable, not a year after the competition did the very thing. TL:DR In case i wasnt clear my main issue was that AMD is a full year behind Nvidia and not delivering the same amount of power efficiency, As i said i wanted AMD to kick Nvidia's ASS!!! with Vega, but i'm bummed it didnt happen. Also pricing in Denmark on Vega cards are already getting ridiculous in LTT's test only the watercooled VEGA 64 could stay ahead the 1080 consistently those are a already a full 100 usd more expensive or even more depending on where you buy or from which AIB than a 1080, Some places its actually cheaper to get a 1080ti
  4. I haven't read all comments but here's what i think. I'd consider myself an Nvidia fanboy, i've owned multiple high end Nvidia cards (newest of the new from that generation, though not upgrading until the next one so 580/680-1080 now). I am genuinely dissapointed with Vega, Nvidia has been beating their own meat since the 680 days when they started to pull ahead with AMD being about a generation behind (this is very true now). Nvidia has been pumping up prices because they can. So last year they put out the 1080, fanboy here was quick about spending about 6000dkk (nearly 950 usd) on a GTX 1080 Strix. Now they cost about 5000 dkk, roughly 800 usd. A Vega 64 starts at 4700dkk (750 usd). My issue is that for 50 bucks less you get: 1 year old performance from Green Team, higher temps because its a ref card (and custom Vega's are going to cost about the same as custom 1080'ies). Then you might think, well its 50 bucks less expensive for more or less the same performance good deal right? NO! The Vega 64 has a TDP of 345W compared to 180W from the 1080. A beefy PC might set you back 100W so thats 445W compared to 280W for the same performance, those 50 bucks will be gone in a couple of gaming sessions (atleast in Denmark) TL:DR For once i hoped AMD could give Nvidia some good competition and not just be able to play with them on 1 year old consumer products. For once i hoped that Nvidia would shiver a bit maybe pick up the pace and deliver some good performing cards at good prices (The GTX Titan XP was about 15000dkk, about 2370 usd). That said i am glad to see that Threadripper is making Intel revisit some of their latest decissions.
  5. The phone is highly targeted towards music lovers and guitar players. It comes with Loopstack, an handy app for recording, and is designed to work with a device that can transcode signals from a gutiar so that it can record directly and propably emulate alot of Marshall amps. If i had not jsut bought a G3 last week this would be my next phone
  6. Linus don't got no warranties Do as he says not as he does
  7. Tried and it worked, got me from around 80 to 90+ most of the time in GTAV everything on ultra on a 980.
  8. Treyarch is the best COD developer, though i really really hoped for a WW1/2 or Cold War black ops (like the first one) instead of this future... whatever it is. It was cool in Black ops 2, and got anoying in Advanced Warfare especially because they decided to fuck over PC users, fps limits and god guns... Atleast Black ops 2 had no fps caps and something that recembled balance and giving a shit about pc gamers, i really hope they kept that.
  9. Just a thought. GH is in my opinion for playing with your friends, so let it stick with that.
  10. As a regular guitarists that started playing (and listening to rock/metal) guitar because of GH3 Legends of Rock, this is a welcome return, though i would love to see a truly expert controller, maybe 24 frets and two rows? For now im good with Rocksmith 2014, they post DLC every week or so, though costing 2.99€ pr song...
  11. Soooo fuckin excited!!! Dont screw this one up EA, i dont care if it's delayed by half a year, just have it working.
  12. Linus wears it in CS:GO with godmode. Rest of LMG, or some of us, gets a mag with a weapon of choice. On the serious side, i can see the application for VR and that threadmill thingy. A good FPS simulator, Oculus Rift, threadmill thingy, reactive gun prob and this = good fun i think
