  1. Well just to give an update. I restarted the server and it works fine now. That's on me for not trying that sooner. Computers are so tempermental. Thanks for your help @Gokul_P
  2. Well I just tried to access the webUI from my laptop over WiFi, also W10. It is even worse xd. Again I cannot connect to the server. But on the laptop I can't even connect to my router like I can on my desktop. And when I ping either my router or my server from my laptop I just get "general failure". I connected my PC to the WiFi and all general things work, including accessing the router. But still I cannot access the server. Pinging it still works over WiFi though.
  3. I could do that actually. I'll do that soon and update then. For now I just pinged the server from the PC in the cmd and it works fine.
  4. Yes I am using WiFi on my mobile and ethernet on my desktop. The server is also connected over ethernet directly to the modem/router, as is the desktop.
  5. It still works fine when I request the desktop version in my mobile browser.
  6. I have tried already on Chrome, Edge, and Firefox on desktop. All have the same issue. It works as expected on my mobile browser which is a firefork. I think it is a Windows problem honestly. Sometimes the page loads but then stops working once I try to interact with it. Then when I refresh it is unable to connect again. Almost like it only realises it isn't supposed to work until after I try to interact with it.
  7. Hi all, recently started working on a home server setup and I've come across a bit of a problem. I have the machine installed and running Proxmox. I know the machine is working because I see it connected in my router devices list. When I go to the local IP of the server on port 8006 I should be able to access the Proxmox web interface and configure the server. On my mobile phone this works just fine in Fennec browser. But on my desktop I get an "unable to connect error" whether I use Chrome, Edge, or Firefox. I have already tried turning off Windows firewall then refreshing the page but to no avail. I really don't know what is causing this and I feel it must be a problem with my browsers or my Windows setup itself. Any advice much appreciated. Thanks.
  8. I was worried about compatibility but I heard others saying that Valve has a lot of things working on SteamOS
  9. I am aware of sites such as those. But I am very doubtful of Kingpin's legitimacy in an already grey area. I am aware that Paul's Hardware recommended it but having done some research I really wouldn't feel comfortable going with them. Can't find the link but there was one case I saw in a thread where a guy's steam code didn't work, he tried to ask support but they bounced him around for 2 weeks then tried to get his steam username & password. I will look into Dealscube but my question still stands for other OSs. Thanks
  10. So I've had my new PC for around 2 months now. It's running Windows 10 pro but it's not activated. I finally decided to activate it and I'm looking for cheap keys because I don't wanna pay $100+. While exploring that avenue and trying to verify the reliability of these unscrupulous keys I saw a thread on this very forum suggesting to just use something that's not Windows if you're not willing to pay. SO my question is as follow: Should I use something not Windows? If so, what should I use? Bearing in my mind that my use case is just gaming and that Windows is all I've ever known and I know absolutely nothing about any other OS, hence this question. Any advice would be much appreciated.
