no, it's running on stock clock speeds

Hello, I'm having a problem with a 1050ti OC from zotac, While playing a game (any game) the gpu crashes and leaves me with a black screen at which point I have to restart the pc. If anyone knows anything about this, it would be appreciated. current config is as follows: CPU: ryzen 5 1400 GPU: Zotac GTX 1050ti OC (latest drivers from NVIDIA, connected directly through HDMI) SSD: Crucial MX300 HDD: 1TB@5400rpm MoBo: Asus Prime B350 plus RAM: crucial ballistix 2x8GB@2400MHz PSU: EVGA 600B If there is any log that I need to attach, please tell me where to look for it and it shall be attached. If there's another thread addressing this matter, please link me to it I found none. Many thanks to anyone that can help me with this!

I have a modest Sapphire R7 260X and while it is aging pretty nicely, and there are no issues at the 1080p level (at least on my games) I think an upgrade to polaris would be nice. Might even get around to save a bit and finally change my monitor and take advantage of the new features. I live in Argentina and prices here are outrageous when it comes to tech items.

Thanks VulcanAndroid, i missed that part on my thread, I did try booting into a live ubuntu USB drive... couldn´t get past the Samsung logo as well. i´m gonna try and get a different pc with the same chipset to test the CPU.

So, a friend of mine asked me for help with his laptop, which turns off right in the samsung logo screen. Model#: NP300E4C OS: W8.1 his dad had taken it to a service shop and had been told the issue was the HDD, so naturally, I tried checking the HDD. plugged it into my pc and it booted just fine. then I tried installing a different HDD into that laptop, one that had W7 on it, and it to the windows logo screen (right before login) but then it crashed again. Tried again, crashed again at the same screen. by now, I had ruled out the HDD, because it did boot in my pc, but the fact that the other HDD got all the way to the windows logo confused me a bit. so I decided to check with the ram (just to rule out stuff). took the 4GB stick of ram out, placed 2x2GB sticks on it and nothing... it still crashed at the samsung logo, this sticks work, they're being used in the W7 laptop from which I took the HDD. Basically, I don't think it's a CPU/MOBO issue, because I did get to the w7 logo when I switched HDDs (might be wrong, that's why I'm here) but other RAM doesn't seem to be doing the trick, and the HDD boots, just not in that pc. Sould I try reinstalling the OS in that HDD through my PC and then try to boot it in the laptop as a fresh install, or is it gonna be pointless? if you have any idea what could be causing this, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks! EDIT: I also tried booting into a live Ubuntu USB, and couldn't get past the samsung logo... at this stage it loops restarting up to the samsung logo.

I would love to give my father an asus zenpad. he loves reading and music, a tablet would be like a combination of an ereader and an mp3 device. he just got the hang of smartphones with a blackberry z10, and I've been trying to feed his curiosity with tablets (and android...).
