  1. Hi all, I just wanted to ask that I am interested in buying a new CPU and motherboard (I own a 1070 already) for a rig for gaming, streaming, and working in Photoshop. I want to know what would be better for high FPS in games such as GTA 5 or The Division but also allows me to stream/record at the same time. I am stuck between an i5 7600k and the i7 7700 non K. I keep seeing on some videos that the i5 in some games reaches 100% with a 1070 which seems like a bottleneck. I did look at Ryzen CPUs but I keep seeing things about how some of the BIOS on the Ryzen boards aren't that great and have issues. Any advice between those 2 CPUs would be helpful, thanks!
  2. I am interested in the PG279Q Asus monitor but I keep reading reviews on some people getting bad models or QA issues, then I see an kind of identical spec wise model from Acer the XB271HU but many people say the Asus model is better overall build than the Acer and the Acer as well has QA issues at times. Really stuck on what to go with - any suggestions? 3. Hi all, I am looking to buy this monitor, https://www.amazon.com/dp/B017EVR2VM/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=3S7KNA14PZCG&coliid=I2OZOSWXXZOKK1&psc=1 but I am not sure if I should go for it at its current price or wait for Black Friday/Holiday season. I would like to have it from Amazon because I have Prime, but does anyone have any guidance on maybe when a good time to check price drops maybe? Thanks all
  4. Hi all, I was just wondering what people would recommend for me and my current situation. I currently own a Samsung TN 4K monitor I got a long time ago, while I like it I have noticed the screen tear, bad viewing angles, and washed out colors of a regular TN monitor. My current setup is my PC and PS4 hooked into the monitor. My PC has a Evga 1080 SC in it and it runs 4K well but some games it cannot handle 4K, this is also the problem of me having frequent occurrences of screen tear and frame dips in some games. I was looking around online and I noticed that 1. I could SLI my 1080s and get better 4K power but still have my TN monitor (and risk more screen tear due to SLI, i think) or 2. I could go down to an IPS 1440p monitor with Gsync so I can get rid of my screen tear while maintaining a smooth faster frame-rate with great quality (https://www.amazon.com/PG279Q-2560x1440-G-SYNC-Gaming-Monitor/dp/B017EVR2VM) or 3. I could go buy a TN 1440p monitor with Gsync (https://www.amazon.com/PG279Q-2560x1440-G-SYNC-Gaming-Monitor/dp/B00MSOND8C?th=1) My true issue is seeing the reviews of these monitors, knowing that IPS is a hit or miss with quality assurance on the dead pixels or very bad BLB and the TN monitors still have the bad viewing angles and washed out colors. I am not a hardcore gamer who needs the faster response time of a TN monitor either but I am super worried about having issues with the IPS. My computer can handle SLI and has the power but my main goal here is to get the best solid frames with no screen tear (and highly preferable no washed out colors). I'm sorry if I am all over the place but I am not sure truly what to do: SLI 4K with my current TN monitor or 1440p 165Hz IPS Gsync or 1440p 144Hz TN Gsync faster response (does not have a HDMI port for my PS4 either) Thanks everyone
  5. Hey guys, I am very interested in building my first gaming pc, especially now after seeing so much about the Gtx 1080. Could anyone design me a build that is easy for first time builders and under $1,000 preferred if possible? I would like the GTX 1080 and preferred fan cooling because it seems that water cooling makes your room hotter than fan cooling and currently I wouldn't want all the heat going into my room. My maximum space for a case would be about 22in L, 10in W, and 22in Height. I want to be able to run let's say Doom as best as possible at the highest with this budget. Thanks to anyone who can help.
  6. I own an Azza Fusion 3000 tower and I would like to install the EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 SC GAMING ACX 3.0 coming out, I noticed the dimensions of it being: Height: 5.94in - 150.88mm Length: 10.5in - 266.7mm Width: Dual Slot and I saw the height, my question is will this card fit in the blue highlighted area of my case (in pic)? I am not sure on how to tell - I am new to all of this. I have checked that the inside length and the motherboard, etc. are all compatible but the slot area if that is what you call it, I am not sure if that is the height or? Thank you to anyone who can help.
  7. I would pick the Sony Bluetooth headphones for my brother, he has been saying he really wanted a nice pair of headphones and never got his wish. Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00MCHE38O/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pd_nS_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=XB2HOQGJYRYO&coliid=I844WQDC9U8MD&psc=1
