Rhenox's Achievements

  1. Heroes of Might and Magic® 3: Complete It's 9.99 on GoG (but has no DRM). ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) It also got a fan-made HD mod for it (and fan-made addons too). If you never played this game before, but you love turn-based strategy, it's a must.
  2. The PCB of the i7-6700k bent, and the PCB's curvature bent the motherboard's pins with it, and I'm just guessing, that this whole bending wasn't due to the bad mounting, but rather the raw weight of the cooler which is almost 1.2Kgs, bacuse I've hand tightened them, crossways and mounting the cooler outside of the case (to eliminate things like 1 screw holding all the weight) and moved the the whole computer from one table to the other, then later putting the computer more backwards on the table, that's all of mine PC's history of being moved so far.
  3. A Shadowrock TOPFLOW from be quite! will be my optimal choice for cooling, since it's looking good (imo), got a somewhat good performance for the pricetag, and I'm pretty sure, it won't bent the motherboard or the CPU furthermore, since it's almost 800gramms easier, ordered it today, hopefully it will come together with a fixed MOBO! Or if you guys have any good suggestions, on an air cooler which is around 700 gramms and looks good in a black-red themed build, I would be more than happy to see it!
  4. Well, my CPU was locked at 800Mhz so I've tried everything, but cannot fix the problem, so I picked the PC apart, to check if my skylake bent too, and if so, that is what really causing the error. The answer was yes for the bending, and no for the problem overall, luckily, My MSI motherboard got a slow-mode switch on it which is locking the voltage of the cpu at 0.800V and the ratio at 8 x 100Mhz, and that switch got a contact error, so both the normal and the slow mode standing of the switch locked the CPU at 8 (x100MHz) ratio, 0.800V. The CPU bending was minimal (but still existing ), and it still worked in an other PC. The worse part is, that the CPU pins on the board bent with the CPU itself, so I do hope that MSI will still fix/change the MOBO.
  5. Well, my mounting pressure wasn't too much, I'm really careful about this one, I had a 700gr cooler on my older AM3 socket, and got no problems whatsoever. I had to return my MOBO for RMA but it got bent pins on it too, even tho it's not the original problem because they are still wroking with my bent Skylake which is bent together with the socket pins. So if they fix/change the MOBO I want to avoid any further problems like this, and I think, that the cooler weight does matter, and a lot more when the system is being moved around (for a LAN party).
  6. I'm just saying, that it could happen. The Dark Rock 3 is 976 gramms while the Dark Rock Pro 3 is 1197g, so the 2 almost identical, therefore if this could happen with the pro version, I'm pretty sure it could happen to the non-pro version as well, but your i5 2400 is probably save from this, as far as I know it's a Skylake related issue only...
  7. I have a Dark Rock Pro 3, and an i7-6700k, I've tightened the screws just enough to hold the cooler in place, but not bend the whole thing... or at least i thought i did it. My CPU is bent, even tho I've never actually moved my system, or touched inside the case since I put everything together back in late september, and voila! I've found out yesterday, that the problem affects me too, but the case is not as bad as others. Here's a screen of it: https://fbcdn-sphotos-a-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-xta1/v/t34.0-12/12248840_1007352822643969_887359022_n.jpg?oh=899429cc6d1f940166128a38b83ee23c&oe=5669E45B&__gda__=1449708903_2d703249284967b4dd6e7a1ce51b5acd
  8. I have an S340 matte black, with some red, and I think it's really high quality compared to the pricetag. I love it! (I've got mine for 20.000 HUF in the EU, which is around 70-75 USD) It comes with 2 fans, and with room for 2 more. They got the job done, and you can mount watercoolings in the front side of the panel. As for the S340 populraity, a well-built, well cable managed, color themed S340 just looks good imo.
  9. The biggest worries about AIO's for me, is what if it will starts to leak onto something expensive? Or I have highre chances winning in the lottery first? And also, any suggestions for an AIO that's around the price tag of the Dark Rock Pro 3, and actually supports LGA-1151 socket?
  10. Hey Guys! I would like to askyou guys for suggestions about a CPU cooler which is looking good in a mostly black with some red build. I prefer a good looking air cooler because of it's price, but cheaper but quality water solutions would be OK too, as long as it fits in both phisically, and into the color scheme. I have an MSI Z170A Gaming M3 motherboard, with 2 sticks of HyperX Fury DDR4 RAM (the cooler overhangs the RAM stick just a bit). I'm doing my research on lighter blocks, because I have an i7-6700K which is already slightly bent, and I'm looking forward to prevent further damages to the CPU. I have a be quite! Dark Rock Pro 3, and I want to change this heavy weighted cooler to something significantly lighter.
  11. Problem solved, motherboard RMA: The switch which allows recovery after a failed OC got a contact error, it remained in slow mode, no matter what position the switch was in. The bent CPU still works absolutely fine, and i'm changing my Dark Rock 3 Pro to a more lighter, topflow variant from be quite!, to prevent futher bending on the CPU, motherboard pins got bent to by this CPU bending but it has got nothing to do with my problem, when switching back and forth the switch, for a few minutes it could stuck in normal mode, giving back the full 4 core, 4GHz preformance so i really hope MSI will repair/change it.
  12. I've did what the cooler's manual said, everything was fine, and i've thighted the screws just to that point where it holds the cooler, but not thightened too hard, all of this with a normal screwdriver and my hand ofc, and thightened the screws in diagonally. The bend of the CPU(not lookin as bad as some other bent Skylakes): http://imgur.com/lsGYvYf and this was the most bent part of the CPU. It wasn't nowhere near as bad as this: http://ec0c5a7f741a6f3bff65-dd07187202f57fa404a8f047da2bcff5.r85.cf1.rackcdn.com/images/uRZSOcQBT4ix.jpg this even broke on one edge.
  13. I've just checked the CPU itself, and it got affected by this thin substrate bullshit Skylake bending thing, even tho everyone is saying that this damage is happening mostly if shipping or transporting the PC with the cooler on, but i've got mine in one place since i've put together all the pieces back in late september and still got noticeable bends on the substrate. Maybe this is what causing the problem?
  14. http://imgur.com/gmJrl3l This is while CPU stress testing, and the MSI kombustor stress test got the GPU to 99% usage, around 70 C degrees.
  15. Hey guys! My PC (Windows 10 Home) started to play games so slow, that I ended up doing some research on the problem... After a few test and an hour later, I found out, that the CPU is currently at 0.80Ghz, not enabling it to go faster for some reason, while my Windows power plan is on performance preset. In the BIOS the CPU Core voltage is on auto; 0.800V at this moment and the CPU is running around 1.3V average as far as I know, also the ratio and the frequency is on auto, I've never changed anything in the BIOS before, and now I tried to make the voltage to 1.3, the ratio to 40, and leave the frequency at 100, but manually writing it in, rather than making it auto (just for sure). The problem basically is, that even tho I did all of these things, after I saved and left the BIOS, and rebooted, everything remained the same, nothing saved, and I cannot make the CPU to run at it's normal speeds, it remains this underclocked no matter what I tried to do so far. League of Legends runs at 30-50 FPS instead of like 380-600. And ALL the temps are okay, I've double checked it CPU is around 38-43, and GPU goes around 65-70 under MSI kombustor Stress test in 1440p, 8xMSAA. I also got a Windows 10 update error, which kept restarting my PC every time it booted up and wanted to pop the desktop onto the screen, it just restarted itself every time with this error message: SYSTEM_PTE_MISUSE, so after the 4th restart I just held the power button until the PC forced itself off, after a few seconds I switched it ON again, and since then this problem is solved, but it keeps saying that an Update was unable to install. Inside the case, I got these goodies: Motherboard: MSI Z170A Gaming M3 CPU: Intel Core-i7 6700k 4GHz + bequite! Dark Rock Pro 3 RAM: 2x8GB HyperX Fury DDR4 @ 2133MHz GPU: Nvidia GTX 980 Ti Gigabyte G1 Gaming Edition PSU: EVGA Supernova G1 750W Gold SSD+HDD: Crucial MX 100 256GB, and a WD 1TB Blue Some screens: http://imgur.com/a/i1BMc Thanks guys in forward!
