  1. Traverse Town from Kingdom Hearts is is probably one of my favorite levels from any game. Just real calm and gets me into an adventure type mood.
  2. no not 2. this is now my second one. the first one I got refurbished from micro center, but it kept doing the black screen thing after about 3 months of use. and now I am using 15.7.1 CCC drivers because the new crimson one gives me some artifacts on csgo (I still get a very tiny amount might just be screen tear) whenever I come out of the buy menu and also break battlefront 2 entirely.
  3. yeah I just did will do this for a couplle days and see if it works
  4. So I got a R9 290x from XFX after sending back one I bought I used and had to be RMA'd (kept making screen go black randomly and would have to restart computer). After About 4 weeks of waiting, I finally got it in the mail and installed it with a bit of trouble. I installed the new crimson drivers, but they caused problems on CS-GO and battlefront 2 (!) so I had to roll back to the beta catalyst drivers which caused some weird artifacts to occur while going through gun menus in cs-go(buy menus) and weird artifacts while using chrome (Reddit mostly) so now im rolled back to 15.7.1, but I just launched chrome went to Reddit and still got some weird artifacts when I moused over to a post to click on it. I restarted chrome and it stopped, but does this mean the card I waited for 4 weeks is actually sort of busted? this makes me not believe in XFX's products at all.
  5. I am assuming you mean the cooler was awful? cause I know on the card I sent back, it would get pretty hot even when playing games like CSGO or TF2. the fans really seem like they do next to nothing for cooling.
  6. umm.... I'm new here (like literally made an account 20 minutes ago to make a post) but even I would have the mind to at least post a link to the build you are making or thinking about Here is my build (change the GPU brand to another brand like MSI or Gigabye[requires a big case I believe] ) add more info if you want more responses or input
  7. Oh I actually had a 4GB 290X (should have said that <_<) Now I am kinda hoping they send me a 390 though . this is a really cool forum. I think I am gonna start coming here more.
  8. you think so? I am very new to PC gaming and my hardware brand knowledge is pretty limited, and I saw many horror stories of people getting broken GPUs after waiting for an RMA (from XFX of course). I really liked my 290x while I was using it though. definitely a card I would recommend for someone looking for the best bang for buck if you can find some discounts on them.
  9. So I bought a used XFX R9 290X from a microcenter about 3 months ago along with my entire build(everything else new). after Fallout 4 came out, I bought it and started playing it (high settings mostly) and my screen would randomly say lost signal, but my computer would still be on and everything would be back to normal after I restarted the computer. To put it short, my screen kept doing this, I removed the GPU and it stopped happening. I requested an RMA (which took 6 days) and sent it back 3 days before thanksgiving. It really made me mad I could not play fallout over thanksgiving weekend, so I am wondering if anyone here has experienced this with XFX products and/or has done an RMA with them. Was the RMA successful, or did they send you another busted card? Maybe it was my fault for buying a used GPU, but the card looked like it was barely used at all and it was on sale.
