  1. something like this may be a good place for you to start then you do something like this
  2. i wire them up to USB good personal fans and i have one running off my XB1 to keep its cabinet cool, theyre also good for if you have a system in your car for cooling your amp(s) 12v DC is 12V DC, saw a YT vid to make them into mini Dyson fans with cardboard
  3. was there a pic of the CPU itself? could you have bought a new Core2Quad Q6600?
  4. i believe i am the one whos sorry, rereading i dont think my comment came off the way i had intended
  5. lol no sense of adventure but i think your intended design will work fine
  6. i have a hand made steel basement cover so you dont gotta tell me about bending without tools lol but your bend would be easy compaired to mine, but yeah sheet metal isnt going to let light through lol
  7. i want to say it was something Luke did a review of, within the last 6 months but then again i could be very wrong
  8. why acrylic? why not alumininum or steel sheet? took me a few to even find the crack, you may be able to fill the crack with something to hide it
  9. maybe if there was a small rail or lip on the bottom to support from sliding downward would work, idk i have it in my head that one of the bigger case makers has magnets on a tempered glass window
  10. the only case ive had so far is the Apevia x-qber its a fine case as long as you dont care about cable management which is hard with a 9x12 window on either side
  11. wouldnt a strong rare earth magnet in each corner do? id say roughly 10mm each, though that may lead to hazards when removing the glass
  12. i think it was the WAN show from freegeek they brought out a cardboard box PC, think it was even water cooled, so will it work? yes, would you be the first or last to do it? no
  13. these are for automotive use idk where youd find them, the size youd want, i hate these things though, personally id go with screws of some sort, ive found fan screws work well, if the hole and the screws are the same size you wont need a tap the screws will "mate" to the metal and grab just fine, or put the plexi on the inside of the metal and the screws will mate to that just like on case fans
