  1. Doing downscaling in the "VIDEO" tab is GPU... and in the "OUTPUT" tab is CPU... Only select in the "video" tab... btw.. If you can't handle 6000Kbit birate... then do 3500
  2. ryzen master also post 1.875 for me.. as stated above... But which should i trust??? voltage that i see and put an offset to..?? or the one on the right side of the pictures thats also messed up? - Thats my issue! i have 4 different places to read voltages of all 4 are saying something different... 2 from BIOS, 1 from cpu-z, 1 from oc master tool...
  3. Guess you didnt read my post... Thats what i did! and added 0.15675..... and cpu-z reports 1.550!
  4. its 1.187 baseline ( auto yes i know )... but i only offset.. to a fixed value there is not manual mode... And i want to offset that with + 0.15675 to hit the 1.34375 voltage.. soooo whats your point????
  5. Already set to extreme... and already done multiple OC testing... via master tool.. 1.34375voltage is the lowest i can go for stable 24x7 operation... sure i can go lower.. but if i do certain things for a extenden period of time.. it will crash at some point..
  6. Hello fellow overclockers i hope you can help me out! Okay so i have done a fair bit of overclocking to my previous systems before and also to my new ryzen build... However i dont want to use the Ryzen master OC tool as it requires windows HPET which messes with alot of other stuff! Now i HAVE tried ryzen master OC tool and worked... But i have found some REALLY wierd readings from the bios.. and i have no clue if this is incorrect readings or true readings that i should be worried about.. So here goes... its a ryzen 1700 @ 3.9 ghz, 1.34375 voltage (stable) done via ryzen master oc tool... Now i want to replicate this settings into BIOS OC instead.. However if you look at the BIOS image below (none modified voltage bios) you see the standard voltage is 1.187 voltage.. however readings on the RIGHT side says 1.340???+ WHY??? incorrect bios readings? Okay so based on that the baseline voltage is 1.187 and i need to 1.3475 voltage to be stable.. i need to add 0.15675 voltage to the baseline Now however... CPU-Z says i have 1.550 voltage... AND oc RYZEN master.. only reads 1.187 as my baseline.... Now which fucking voltage should i trust????
  7. Sounds like CPU cooler is not mounted correctly.. - Check that...
  8. "rescale" on the output tab is CPU "downscale" in video tab is GPU
  9. Go for the following settings Keyinterval: 2 Preset: Veryfast Use: CBR Profile: high 720p 60fps - Do downscaling on the GPU!!!!!! as your CPU is dont have multithreading and will DIE if doing downscaling on the CPU 6000kbit bitrate (yes twitch now allows 6000kbit) That's it
  10. Better to go with validated ram.. as it's very buggy atm with non validated ram.. will likey not go full speed.. i have some non validated ram.. but i was lucky enough to get full speed... However... this will get fixed as i mentioned when the bios get more stable...
  11. well it turns out that the "infinity fabric" in the ryzen cpu seems to be linked to ram speed.... - And since zen i build upon "blocks" or CCX's... there is a link between each CCX module... So.. Module1 ------> infinity fabric ----- > Module2 by increasing the ram speed, you also increase the fabric speed.. and you get better performance... since the communication between the modules it faster... I would go with 3000 or 3200mhz ram kits.. or faster if possible but also supported on the motherboard!... since its currently still very early and lots of ram issues... This will however get fixed in upcoming BIOS' that will be released by the motherboard manufacturer..
  12. Where are you doing your downscaling? on the CPU or GPU side??? Since this could be very taxing on the system depending where your are doing it.. also we need a bit more information about your OBS settings... like preset, profile, and such and btw.. i would go for x264 as that produce the best quality..... NVENC + quicksync does not provide the same good quality as x264...
  13. had to do some digging in some old LTT video's... to also verify this....
  14. I need to assign thread 1+2 of core 1 to a application... 1+2 of core 2 to a different application... I just can't remember how windows handle this... If it's thread 1+2 = core1 - 3+4 = core2 and so on... For some reason... i have memory of if being ever SECOND thread to each core... so thread 1 + 3 = core1 - 2 + 4 = core 2 THIS is what i need to verify...
  15. uhm... check again... it shows both cores + threads...
  16. i know what it is..... - i'm asking a different question...
  17. updated OP... to better reflect my question... the picture was just a random to illustrate my question.. but i guess it made it worse
  18. hey all... i just need to verify something..... How does windows handle a 8c/16t cpu? when you see it from task manager?? CPU0 = core CPU1 = thread CPU2 = core CPU3 = thread CPU4 = core CPU5 = thread CPU6 = core CPU7 = thread CPU8 = core CPU9 = thread CPU10 = core CPU11= thread CPU12 = core CPU13 = thread CPU14 = core CPU15 = thread or is it CPU0 = core CPU1 = core CPU2 = core CPU3 = core CPU4 = core CPU5 = core CPU7 = core CPU8 = thread CPU9 = thread CPU10 = thread CPU11 = thread CPU12 = thread CPU13 = thread CPU14 = thread CPU15 = thread
  19. I have a 1700 @ 3.9ghz, 1.325 voltage - with 2933mhz ram...
  20. okay so i got my bracket and i have watercooling on the CPU now.. This is my current stats: 3.9Ghz Voltage: 1.32500 Idle temp: 31c Full load, prime95: 75C (small FTT) Anything above 3.9ghz requires massive amount of voltage... which i just dont see a benefit for for just 100mhz.... I will do some more stress testing and see if this is 100% stable
  21. Hi! I jumped on the ryzen ship and discarded my 4690K to ryzen 1700, B350 Prime mobo... Now my question is did i win the sillicon lottery? Facts: Ryzen 1700, 3.6GHZ Cooler: STOCK AMD COOLer... ( LOL YES I KNOW! i'm currently waiting for my Fractal design bracket, S36) (and will go higher once i get my bracket) Voltage: 1.15000 ( I underclocked it ) Temp during gaming+live streaming(encoding): 60-62c ( will be lower once i get my bracket for my watercooling... ) Temp during Prime95: 75c ( will be lower once i get my bracket for my watercooling... ) And yes the system have been stable for me for at least a couple of hours yesterday.... 5-6 hours... However... 3.6ghz at 1.15 voltage seems very low to me already... and wonderening if i might have one the sillicon lottery for maybe 4.0-4.1oc with at low voltage... 1.25-1.27 maybe? (i'm used to INTEL oc... - but i know ryzen is generally higher temps and requires more voltage than intel.. so im a bit unsure of my very early results already) Let me know! UPDATE #1 okay so i got my bracket and i have watercooling on the CPU now.. This is my current stats: 3.9Ghz Voltage: 1.32500 Idle temp: 31c Full load, prime95: 75C (small FTT)
