I am more inclined towards the CUDA build but again i will try to do some research on the AMD raw power vs NVIDIA design and make decision. Reg. storage i would love to have SSD but my budget wont allow. I guess i can extend the storage later in point of time after i build and use this machine. Can't thank you enough for making this decision as simple as black or white for me....
I got it now. i will be using Adobe products from CC (Creative Cloud) series or older CS5/CS6 series. I dont know what is OpenCL or Cuda acceleration and how they impact my editing process but i am assuming that Adobe being a standard software would support those accelerations. How would i know if Adobe products support OpenCl and Cuda?
Hi Lotus,
I will dedicate the machine to be built for one single task i.e. video editing and nothing more. I am willing to spend around $500 (+/- $150 is not a prob), but i want to pick good parts so that it can use it long term.
Glad to be here. So what would be the ideal budget for a decent video editing machine? for now i will be rendering not more than 5 minutes of videos @720p for YT/Vimeo.
Is it possible to build a desktop from scratch under 500 bucks for video editing purposes?
I never build a PC before so i want to give it a shot and my research made me land here. Experts pleas share your valuable suggestions.
Thanks
Sri
