  1. Yes, but IIRC the OnePlus is only USB 2.0 speeds on the Type C connector.
  2. You can do it with the mini converters, either 3.0 A > C like the one supplied with the Pixel, or Micro B > C for a few pounds on amazon. There are also some USB type C hard drives out already.
  3. 76.61Mbps is < 100Mbps I was expecting to see something like > (I hate VM's upload speeds, but the download is better than anything else in this area).
  4. Pic's or it didn't happen ^_^! I had a similar problem with a printer in the back bedroom, ended up plugging the printer into a portable router (tplink 702n) and connecting that to the network via wifibridge mode just so I didn't slow down the internet to everything else on that switch by having it plugged in.
  5. You need to be more specific, without knowing your requirements/ aims it's impossible to know what to suggest.
  6. What might be happening and you can test easily by connecting the Hub > Switch > PC with nothing else connected. and seeing if you get 25MB/s on a speed test assuming based on your comment and modem that you have vivid 200 from VirginMedia ) Next connect the Xbox (which doesnt have gigabit lan and power it up connect to xboxlive or whatever) and if the speedtest on the PC drops down to 12.5MB/s then your issue is the xbox causing the link speed between the superhub and your switch to drop to 10/100 which would indicate that even though your switch is likley 10/100/1000 to your pc, it's only able to communicate with the superhub at 10/100 speeds... The solution at this point would be to plug the xbox in elsewhere ^^ or burn it in a fire and use the PS4 for kindling. The SuperHub 2 is 10/100/1000 on all four ports with coax input.
  7. depends where you are, SCAN,Overclockers both have some boards on display. /r/MechianicalKeyboards may have a member meetup happening soon nearby. PC world (eeeew) might have some of the Razer/Steelseries offerings on display but varys per store. TheKeyboardCO has a store somewhere, but I can't remember where. you could also abuse the Amazon returns policy if you wanted to try a few.... Find a store that stocks Keyboards, and has demo models, and go try them out, everyone has a preference, and until you've tried some you wont know what feels best. As for Key type, I personally go for MX Browns / Blues (Filco Boards) with browns taking the lead by a narrow margin, I have a Ducky board with reds for work because its a bit quieter even though it feels mushy compared to the browns.
  8. Try something like Afterburner or EVGA's tool and let the software deal with the overclock using the auto mode, the software will typically find the sweetspot for your card, if it turns out that sweetspot is 0MHz then you lucked out of the silicone lottery. .
  9. I prefer understated cases that are pretty quiet (He says with a NZXT SWITCH 810 hidden behind his desk... [It was practically free and I needed the drive bays.] ) So the Fractal Design R4 or R5 are appealing from an acoustic and aesthetics standpoint, none of this RGB BS. The NZXT H440 (I've seen it at around $100 before) with the solid side panel. Of course thats my taste, and you are more than welcome to choose whatever you would like.
  10. This benchmark does a rough comparison of Nehalem (Lynnfield usies this architecture) to the architectures released after (upto Broadwell). https://us.hardware.info/reviews/6215/2/intel-five-generation-ipc-test-broadwell-haswell-ivy-bridge-sandy-bridge-and-nehalem-results
  11. The OP did ask if he should wait for Ryzen ;), with it being two weeks away, it is pretty solid advice at the moment. We know its targeting intel heavily on the performance per core, and we should have detailed benchmarks soon (tm). Both of the builds you put forwards are solid even with Skylake cpu's, and you could easily swap the motherboard/cpu/ram for a Ryzen config if it's what the OP wants so, win win.
  12. Not a bad build to be honest, Not a fan of the case, or HDD but it's one the OP could have now. I'd still advise strongly to wait until March 2nd though.
  13. as SeanAngelo said, wait for Ryzen, the Intel and AMD sides of the fence should have something that fits your budget, and will be MUCH better than the current AM3 Stuff
  14. IIRC It usually just checks the memory controller and the memory profile and job done.
  15. Assuming your running a standard Desktop OS, it should not make much difference how much RAM you have provided you have more than the minimum required (page files are still a thing), although bios settings can have an affect (i.e. test on startup type settings). On the flip side Enterprise (Server) operating systems run more detailed checks on boot, to ensure system stability, and can take 2-minutes to boot on the "same" hardware.
