  1. Hey everyone, I'm updating my workspace and have been struggling over the infinite question: Dual Monitors vs. Ultra wide. Now I have had a long history with dual monitors and they have been great for productivity but the one thing I hate is that I have never been able to get consistent colors. One monitor's colors always ends up looking colder while the other one is warmer. This is something I've learned to work around but I would like to for once have a set up that has consistent colors. I design and develop websites and getting proper colors is key. I love productivity on a dual monitor set up but hate the color issues. But is an ultra wide really good productivity/ worth the price? Wanted to get some opinions. Thanks!
  2. @newcbomb I haven't found one myself but the Firefox Dev Tools can simulate mobile throttling. Either click on Responsive Design Mode and click on the words "No Throttling." This will allow you to simulate it.
  3. Thanks for the advice, I'll try it and see if it works! I'll update the thread when it's done.
  4. Hey Everyone, I have been needing to replace my old Hard Drive, but I really don't want to go through the hassle of re-installing Windows and all of my other programs. Is there a way to transfer all the information over to the new hard drive? Now the hard part is that I have an SSD with my OS and some programs on them and my hard drive is for major storage and a few non-essential programs. Thanks everyone!
  5. Wow thanks dude! I appreciate the help
  6. Hello, I hope that I am posting this to the proper place, but I have a question of OS. I have in my tower an SSD and an HDD. The HDD is meant only for storage while the SSD contains the OS. I want to upgrade the SSD as it is an older one but I don't want to go through spending most of the day installing everything. Is there a method that I can use which will allow me to move the current state of my PC from my old SSD to a newer one?
  7. @Josephaltareb Thanks, I'll try that!
  8. @josephaltareb Yes it is refurbished. I got it from a friend who just wanted to make a new rig.
  9. I have an Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-2600k CPup @ 3.40GHz 16 GB RAM An Nvidia EVEA GTX 580 Corsair Ax850 1.5TB WD 120 SSD ASrock p67 extreme 6
  10. Hello, My PC keeps crashing/ freezing up after Windows 10 Enterprise updated and NVidia updated during the same weekend. It started as my monitors falling asleep and then not turning on. I made sure that sleep and hibernate were properly shut off but it persisted and then would crash and reboot the PC. I was able to get into safe mode, So I disabled the Graphics card and started in normal mode and re-installed my graphics card. I re-installed windows 10 and An error was appearing for the graphics driver crashing so I used a driver uninstaller to clease it and then re-installed it and now the error message won't pop up. But now while I'm doing anything on the pc it will shut down, especially when I'm playing games. I used UBCD and it found no errors with RAM, CPU, or GPU. Anyone having these problems or have had these problems before hand?
  11. Hey everyone, I have this issue where my computer will go to sleep after sometime. It will wake itself up and after so many times I get a quick blue screen and the pc reboots. It goes to the bios splash screen and then fails to boot. Now I have two drives. A SSD that houses my Windows 10 os and an HDD for storage. I attempted to go into the boot menu and make the SSD the only boot device. After I did the same issues persisted. I don't know whether this a Windows 10 issue or an issue with my bios? I recently updated my bios for my p67 extreme6 and also Windows 10. I'm not sure which of these things could be causing it or if it's another issue altogether. Thanks for any of the help.
  12. I finally have a rig that can handle my workload of 3D modeling software/ gaming but I'm looking to also upgrade my monitors. I have experience with dual monitors but I have heard of ultra wide screens and I'm wondering what working on one is like. Is it just like dual monitors but without a break in the middle of the desktop where the one monitor ends and the other begins? Or is it just like one long monitor? Also, how does aero snapping work on an ultra wide screen? Thanks in advanced!
  13. 1. bios has detected the SSD. 2. It is an ahci 3. I don't have another computer to test the installation with.
  14. I tried to switch ports for the USB and the error still comes up. I also Re-Seated the SSD and they seem ok. There are several ports titled SATA3 and SATA 2.
  15. Hello Everyone, I am trying to install windows 10 but I keep getting this error on my screen when I got to install. I feel like I need drivers to help me but I can't find the right one and can't determine if I am even right. Has anyone seen this error? The mother board is a asrock p67 extreme6 p1.60. Thanks for the help everyone! Merry Christmas.
