I recently started working from home for a call center type job. I would love to be able to use my own headphone and mic combination as the headset given by my employer is terrible. I am aware of the possibility of using a line out into my main pc and changing the audio output through settings, but based on the nature of my job I would love to have a switch of sorts, where I could just toggle my audio and mic through. As of now I've just been switching the plugins before and after my shifts.
Having a button solution of sorts would eliminate any potential issues that could come up and make it so that I didn't have to leave my pc on the entire time I was working. I was looking at mixers as a potential option, but I frankly know nothing about them and I couldn't find any reliable spillters that included microphone inputs. Both my headphones and microhpone use a standard 3.5mm connector.
I'm willing to spend around $40USD, but would love any suggestions or help towards an analog solution of sorts. Thank you all for any help or ideas in advance.
