  1. Hey guys, While planning out this PC I couldn't find much info about building such a high performance PC in this tiny case so I thought I would write something up. If you are planning a similar build and have any questions I would love to answer them! Also, if you would like any benchmark numbers let me know and I'll run them when I get a chance! Here is the PC part picker link with more info! http://pcpartpicker.com/b/KnccCJ
  2. Hi everyone! Thanks a lot in advance! Here are my specs: Windows 10 64-bit (upgrade from 8.1) MSI Z97A GAMING 7 (MS-7916) BIOS V1.B Intel Core i7 4790K (no OC right now) Asus Strix GTX970 16GB Corsair Vengeance CMY16GX3M2A1866C9R (2 x 8GB) inserted into DIMM2 and DIMM4 Corsair RM650 Crucial_CT512MX100SSD1 (Windows and games installed here) WD Black 500GB (storage) Elgato HD60 Pro No CD drive I have a few questions… First here is a quick description of what is happening right now with my PC. Occasionally when I power it on it posts but then while windows is loading it will just shut off and stay off. Although sometimes it will power cycle and turn on. I often get BSOD during windows startup and also during shut down. These BSOD codes change a lot, hopefully the zip file helps there. Also, I couldn’t run the Performance Monitor. It never finished after the 60s… not sure why. zip file: https://www.dropbox.com/s/lnw51foj3d0s1dh/SysnativeFileCollectionApp.zip?dl=0 Questions: I’m afraid something in my system is causing these issues and breaking my RAM (I’ve had 2 sticks die on me). Maybe a bad PSU or mobo? Is it really that probably to get 2 bad sets of RAM that only die after a few months? Could the driver issues from upgrading from 8.1 to 10 be causing all of these problems? If that is enough info to help don’t feel obligated to read the rest of this post. The rest is just the backstory of the problems I’ve been seeing. Hopefully it will shine more light on what could be causing problems. **Start of backstory** The first set of RAM died slowly a month after building when my games started crashing and windows would BSOD. No big deal, I just did an RMA and all seemed good(I don’t remember if it was the stick in DIMM2 or 4 that died…). I would still get the occasional BSOD but only on startup/shutdown and it seemed like that was due to the Win10 upgrade messing up drivers. I fixed a few, but haven’t gotten around to just clean installing to fix the rest. After a few months of this my games started crashing again. I ran memtest86 and got no errors. Also, if I restarted my pc the games would stop crashing until I rebooted again. Once this started happening I also would occasionally BSOD while I was using the PC, not just on startup/shutdown. I was still thinking maybe it was a weird driver issue and was planning on wiping both my drives and installing Windows 10 directly (not from upgrade) when my parents left on Monday (3-14-2016). On Friday (3-11-2016) my PC wouldn’t boot. Sometimes, it wouldn’t post and just power cycle forever. Sometimes it would post and try to load windows but BSOD. Sometimes windows would go into recovery mode and fail to fix anything, then reboot. Rarely it would get into windows, but BSOD within a few seconds. The more I restarted it the more often it would not post at all. I switched over to the other BIOS on my mobo and was able to run windows for a few seconds longer, but at least it wasn’t power cycling anymore. I ran memtest86 again and it exploded with errors so I pulled out of of my RAM sticks (DIMM4). I ran memtest86 again and received no errors! This is where I’m at right now, running on 1 8GB stick of RAM in DIMM2 and getting the occasional BSOD on startup/shutdown. I’ve also seen my PC just shut down entirely during startup. I haven't experienced any BSOD while I’m using it and all my games are working just fine. **end of backstory** Thanks a lot for your help! If you need more info I’d be glad to grab it and reply asap! -Jordan
  3. I mostly play MMOs so I have a heavy Razer Naga Epic Chroma. I used to play a lot of CS:S so I recently picked up CS:GO and realized that my naga is just way to heavy for an fps. The Kiro is probably a good one since I wouldn't need any of the extra mouse clicks for my FPS fun!
  4. I'll hide it behind my TV with wireless keyboard/mouse! It will be great for TV gaming without a big tower on the ground!
