  1. The free syncs have just sold out at my local stores but when is the gsync coming? does it have VESA? I still love my 34uc97 but I'm so interested in the gsync and ultrawide. https://youtu.be/wawMmS19noQ https://youtu.be/gKg3cEyiNP4 A couple of short video's of the 34" Ultrawide and 4k UHD monitors compared for size.

  3. So I played some more ARK with Jai on a 5960x + Titan X rig with the DK2. With setting set to low on everything and the odd medium here ant there it still gave us slow downs at times, especially during battles and also when crossing the map at certain points bogged down. But this game has the hallmarks to be a very good game. It need to improve the UI in VR and fix some of the glitchy animations etc. here another two videos from today. Jai dominating LOL!!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NLzk4t6n3NM https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=efwfbtekFKY
  4. I found it running really rough too. I just put the settings to low LOL. Also I was playing the game with the Oculus DK2. I only bought the game because it had VR support. I tried Oculus Runtime 0.7 with various Nvidia drivers on my Windows 8.1 and no luck. I went back to Nvidia 350.22 drivers and Oculus 0.601. Hopefully by CV1's release they will have it all sorted!!! Here is video of my DK2 gameplay - Big bird Glitching it up! ARK: Survival Evolved - Running rough on 5960x + Titan x + 32gb Ram + X99 Asus Deluxe. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VjxwVli3_3E
  5. Its been a long wait for GTA V on PC. Ive done my best to hold out and only sucumbed to a few random plays at friends houses. I havent had my LG 34uc97 ultrawide monitor long but I was a bit worried about the fast pace of GTA and if I would get any screen tearing and motion blur. But it is amazing!!! 3rd person camera view is awesome on the ultra wide monitors. I guess the biggest helper is having only one GPU (Titan X) powering the 3440 x 1440p monitor. Im happy they took the time to get the game right. Gee, I'm going to clock some hours up on this beauty! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CxjarI_T5lw

  7. Update still yet to glue my monitors. The tape is doing fine as well. I have speaker project on at the moment.
  8. A 770 is a 680 equivalent. I had a 680 and the vg278h 120Hz monitor and it was fine. Now I have tri titans and 3 vg248qe's in portrait surround. Going from 60 to 144 is amazing. Especially if you play fps games!!!!
  9. You can use glue but the other people that have done it are yet to divoldge what they used. Also using doublesided tape is fine and will last years as long as you have the bottom of the monitor resting on the base. Also using tape allows you to send the monitor back to the manufacturer in case of a warranty issue. Using Glue to secure monitors for mounting No matter what type of glue you use leave the monitors in a position that will allow gravity to squish them together. Do not disturb or test the bond whilst its setting and leave them for at least 24 hours in that position. Even if it says 2 hours for full cure! Some glues can take upto a week to set! read the label and add a couple of hours. I heard someone used a hot glue gun on these babys but I cant recommend that yet till i see some of my results. I don't know how that would go??? But something like SIKAFLEX or some other high strength builders epoxy resin that needs a corking gun to used would be Ideal. Once again make sure you read the instructions on the glue because each one is different. I would also recommend roughing up any areas where glue will go between with course sand paper. Also clean with a suitable primer recommend by the glue manufacturer. I'm sorry I've been slack with this I have all the different glues and I'm yet to do trial tests with them. I will be back in 3 weeks and be able to finish this. All this only really applys to people that want to mount their Monitors in landscape surround. For the mean time you could rest them against the stand and use the double sided tape method till I get back and can confirm which is the best glue.
  10. 27" with 1080p isnt good. There is a few FPS games on your list. I would forget about IPS, PLS etc and go a TN Panel from one of the following 24" monitors 144hz like the ASUS VG248QE or the BenQ XL2411t or XL2420t. Other than that run the guantlet with a korean 1440p @ 27"
  11. They say monitors like the Asus VG248QE & BenQ XL2420t have very similar colors to the average IPS panels when they have been calibrated. Here is my ASUS VG248QE Monitors with calibration. the middle one has been calibrated.
  12. I don't think so. I haven't seen any 120hz IPS panels. IPS is only useful in higher resolutions like 1440p.
  13. I prefer 3d monitors because of the 120Hz+. 120fps gaming is great. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236313 its $269 but is worth it. 144fps low lag, low blur, this is one of the best for pure gaming.
  14. I think the issue with 3d on is that it's passive 3d. So when in 3d you are viewing only 1920 x 540p instead of the full 1920 x 1080. If you do get it make sure you come back and tell us your thoughts.
