cpu is fluctuating between 45% and 55% during speed test... also it ran fast off linux on a usb drive, so it has to be software or something in windows

i tried downloading lan drivers direct from gigabyte, no effect.

WOW I AM SHOCKED! I just ran ubuntu off a usb drive and got over 900mb... so it has to be software... wtf could it be? ive tried disabling avast.... no clue?

I'm in Indianapolis, speedtest.net has servers in Indy that are from other gigabit providers and we are also close to chicago. im getting faster speeds on my oneplus 6t on wifi then on eithernet. xfinity plugged their hand held device into the end of my cat6 eithernet cable and got over 900 consistently, it has to be something with my computer. im about to restart and load a linux thumb drive to rule out software.

I've tried every one i can think of. speedtest.net, speak easy, google fiber, the one built into google search, and even ones comast and att and other providers just to try.

I just upgraded to gigabit internet with xfinity. I cant understand why my pc is only getting 250 to 450mb. The techs came out today and they are testing over 900mb on their little device, even using my Ethernet cable. What could cause my computer to not get the full speed? I have a gigabyte ga-z97-hd3 with an I3 4160, using the onboard Realtek GbE 10/100/1000

I was just amazed by the fact you get french fries with gravy on them. I have never gotten to try Tim Hortons Coffee or any of their food.

So i need a CHEAP and LOUD portable bloothooth speaker for my car. Ill be using it to listed to pod casts and stuff like wan show during my commute to work. It really needs to be loud because the car I'm using it in is old as hell and my wife hit a yellow post on the drivers door so it doesn't fit right and makes tons of wind noise... I don't want to wear headphones while I drive, I have a HTC M8 but i cant hear those speakers unless I'm going 5mph and I have a dell speaker DELL AD211 but its only a little bit louder than my M8 and I cant hear it on the highway. I was thinking of THIS but I'm not sure it would be any louder than the dell...

So I have a phenom ii 965be and it's bottlenecking my 7970ghz ... I don't have a ton of money right now and someone in my area has an i3 4150 with a crappy green PCB board, Asrock IMB-380-L, and 8gb ram for about 100 bucks... From what I can see the 4150 should be similar in multi threaded apps to my 965 but much better single core performance... Is it worth the upgrade?

I don't really hear anything but I have 5 other cheap 120mm fans running full speed plus the giant fan on the side of my corsair 500R... plus I really cant hear anything over my reference 7970 I guess they make a new h50 but mine has the big giant pump on it... i added a photo to the first post.

So I was talking to some people... is it weird that my H50 I bought 7 years ago is still going strong? It still cools my 965 BE to 40s or low 50s while gaming still... the stock fan died and I had to put in a Nactua Fan but ive had no issues with the unit itself... When i got it was the first Mainstream AIO. I first got it for my Q6600 but that motherboard got fried by lightning and I upgraded to the 965 BE... I had it for a while in push pull with 2 Corsair fans but One died, then other, so then I got the Nactua fan this year.

If the cpu was bottlenecking would it not be at 100% on at least one of the cores? also my cinebench r15 score is 320 so thats more than 100 pts higher than i3 5005u and csgo is using all 4 cores about the same. phenom ii cpus support ddr 2 or 3 depending on the MB.. Im running 8gb (4x2gb) of ddr 2 1066
