I wish companies would stop announcing stuff according to the seasons.  Living in a non-seasonal country, Summer/Spring etc means nothing.  I wish they could just use Q1-Q4 and be done with it.  /rant over

Witcher 3 by a mile nothing else has come close. Plus an expansion to come that is suppose to be stupidly big. Ill take story telling and actual pc visuals over 'i like collecting stuff' fallout 4 everytime.

On the console front i am a huge halo fan, but jesus christ 343 are destroying that lore makes me so sad. Couldnt care less for its MP but its single player campaign was always amazing, now its devolved to marvel style lore breaking SPARTAN 900000's . damn you frank occonnor you broke my tender little heart.

Now the long wait for cyberpunk 2077 Mass effect andromeda squadron 47 and please god a star wars rpg. Someone make ea give kotor 3 to obsidian or bioware and disregard the mess they made with swtors storyline. Swtor basically turned revan ( not canon thanks disney ) into a mess, when prior to swtor he was arguably one of star wars most interesting characters and certainly my personal favourite.

Gsnyc is over rated. IMHO. I don't think I'll ever buy a Gsnyc monitor.

Consoles set the benchmarks for what most users and gamers expect.

The fact that PCs are running 2k and 4k really has no bearing on console life span. It does unfortunately mean we as pc gamers have to endure inferior standards for many more years to come.

Consoles need to pay for their R+D, then reach a point where they can make money on the actual system. Next progress to even cheaper hardware refreshes getting smaller etc while their profit margins slowly increase. Lastly they introduce a new console only when they feel they have milked all there is to be milked. They wont move on a new console platform until their sales are totally snail speed AND the necessary components for the next generation have reached a price point where they can at least break even on the first 12 month release cycle for the new console.

We are tied to consoles, we could be 144fps 8k and still the communication of that to the majority would be minimal. If the majority of gamers (basically all consoles) are unaware or unconvinced of vastly superior options at similar or cheaper price points then there is absolutely no rush for microsoft or sony to speed up the console gen life cycle.

current gen consoles are still 'new' i dont see any kind of push from the main consumer base for anything better until 2018.Earliest console release 2019 if we were super lucky. Which makes me so incredibly sad because it means we are tied to POTATO graphics for another few years, nothing new though feels like since buildng my first comp in 2009 ive been tied to a fucking potato.

    TL:DR i hate potatoes

( p.s i could be wrong and 4k tvs and 14/16nm gfx cards might MAGICALLY drive consumer demand for 4k and all of a sudden a 4k console push is born, we can only hope )

I Really find this laughable considering there is still basically no 4k content and the content due for release early next year is all garbage sony films. 4k is by no means essential right now. The uptake for 1080p took many years so will 4k. Right now there are great deals to be had on large 1080 displays which may suffice for certain people.
