  1. You never know, he might wanna add a second card down the line. I more-so want to emphasize the change in wifi card, as the faster speeds are beneficial to user experience.
  2. On the topic of headphones, I recommend the Plantronics Gamecom 780/788 (same tech, different colour). It's a Dolby 7.1 surround USB headset with an excellent microphone (I currently own one and it has lasted me for years and years). They're also extremely durable, due to their built-in thick metal frame. I've dropped mine so many times and you can't even tell. Highly recommend this headset, especially since it's so cheap compared to the competition and performs better in most cases.
  3. Hey. I know this thread is about headphones, but I'd recommend stepping up your power supply to a 750W (difference is next to nothing) and also getting a wifi card which supports the "ac" type (it's faster, and 99% of modern routers support it).
  4. Hey, so I'm trying to choose between the K70 RGB and the Strafe RGB. They both come in the keyswitch I want (CherryMX Brown), they both have media keys (though the K70's are separate), they both have a keypad, they both have USB passthrough, only the K70 has a volume wheel (though I have one on my headset so it doesn't matter) but the Strafe has brighter backlighting, doesn't use a metallic material which gets fingerprints all over it and is cheaper. Am I missing something here? Why is the K70 more expensive if from looking at this information it's seemingly worse? Thanks, TeRa
  5. Corsair Strafe RGB with CherryMX Brown
  6. Hey guys. So, after reading through my previous thread, I've decided to go with CherryMX Brown switches on my next mechanical keyboard. This did bring a question to mind though - does the tactile feedback on CherryMX switches (which feature it) wear out quickly? Say, in about a year, will it be noticeably gone? Thanks, TeRa
  7. I play Halo Combat Evolved about once a week or so with a friend. I'm in Australia, and use UTC +10:00. Username is HyperX_Fury.
  8. The compact, lightweight design makes it an excellent choice for taking around to friends' places for a quick game. So much power in so little space, it makes perfect sense to go with Zotac's ZBOX for all your portable gaming needs in the PC master race.
  9. Excellent build, though for the same price as the Noctua CPU cooler you can get a water cooler which keeps the temps lower.
  10. So many agree that the 950 Pro is overkill?
  11. How worthwhile are the benefits of a Samsung 950 Pro over a Samsung 850 Pro? Is it worth the upgrade if someone had money to splurge? Discuss!

    G'day mate!

Hey! I'm new to the forums, so I might just introduce myself: My name is Ryan, I am 15 years old (year 10), and I'm a Maltese Australian living in Australia. I speak fluent English and am moderately confident in Maltese. I've used PCs since I was 3, and I love every single aspect of it. Registering onto these linustechtips forums has greeted me with many like myself - technology-experienced persons who are able to easily share their wisdom with each other. I look forward to integrating myself further into this community and so far it has been a pleasure reading the threads on here. Cheers

    Which keyswitch?

I don't really intend on getting Blues as the loud noise is not practical for my situation.

    Which keyswitch?

Thank you for the quick responses! But what is your stance on people's complaints about the tactile bump. Do many people find it annoying? Do you? Why/why not?
  15. Hey, so I'm thinking of buying a Corsair Gaming STRAFE RGB keyboard, but I'm not sure which type of keyswitch to get. They come in CherryMX Red, Brown and Silent. I plan to use this keyboard for writing assignments and FPS gaming. Based on what I've heard from around the net, this instantly leads to the choice of CherryMX Brown, but I also read that a lot of people find the tactile feedback they give as annoying. Can anyone with experience in this field please help me decide? This is my first mechanical keyboard and likely the one I will own for many many years to come, so I want to ensure I make a well-informed decision. Cheers, TeRaByTeFrEnZy (my first thread!)
