So I recently ordered the Massdrop Vast 35-Inch Curved Gaming Monitor. I currently am using a GTX 970 to power my games, but I don't think that will cut it for 3440x1440 at 100hz. I have to opportunity to grab a 1080ti around Christmas, but the monitor doesn't ship until mid February of 2018. Would it be wise to just be patient and wait for volta, or will it end up being released late 2018. Thanks in advance!

I'd love to get the keyboard. This is because I am having such a difficult time finding a blue mechanical keyboard that I like to match my setup. (without paying for rgb)

As far as I can tell the R9 390 performs better than the 970 most of the time, but I have no idea if my ultra-wide monitor will make a difference in the results. Im thinking about upgrading from my GTX 760 but cant decide on what to choose since these two are so close. Ive heard that the 970 has better drivers and runs cooler and quieter. On the other hand the 390 has much more vram and performs better on average. I want to play games at 60fps/high-ultra with my current resolution. Also, would more expensive cards be worth the $100-150ish jump for what im trying to achieve?
