Dear community,
I am planning to build a new PC (actually upgrading my old one) but I want to keep it as cheap as possible.
The purpose of the PC will be solely internet browsing, very minor Office documents editing and printing through a USB printer.
No games, No nothing else, whatsoever.
The uptime is going to be a single digit hours per week or even month.
As you understand, I want the cheapest possible solution.
I was thinking of using my old case and PSU (I dont even know the wattage but I hope it will suffice).
I was thinking of an integrated CPU (on board cpu) maybe a mobo from ASROCK,
a box intel CPU so that I won't need an extra heatsink, 4GB of ram and that's pretty much it.
I was also thinking of a very small and cheap SSD but it drives up the cost so I might not get it.
Since I have no idea what I'm doing here, could you please suggest some parts?
Remeber: The usage is minimum so I want it to be as cheap as possible!
I'm buying from greece, so preferably I want to buy from www.skroutz.gr or www.e-shop.gr
Thank you so much in advance.
1. Budget & Location I was hopng for something around 100-150 euros, location: Greece 2. Aim Firefox for internet browsing, microsoft word and powerpoint and printing through an existing USB printer 3. Monitors I already have a 19" LG 1280x1024 monitor that i am plannig to reuse. 4. Peripherals I wont buy any peripherals, I have everything I need.
5. Why are you upgrading? I am upgrading because the old computer is about a decade old hardware, 1GB of ram on an unsupported motherboard i scravenged from another PC and cant even run windows 7. The NIC is awefull and has a buggy driver so after a few minuted it eats up the ram and crashes...
