I'm in the process of a build and i planned on having a 256GB Samsung 840 Pro SSD for booting and some games, along with 2 Seagate Barracuda's at 7200 rpm with 750GB in raid 0. I also planned to add a backup drive in the near future. The barracudas are from a different build and are already in raid 0 and they have some important stuff on them. I installed windows on the SSD with all other drives being unplugged, while the computer was in AHCI mode. All was well with the windows install until i added the other drives and switched to raid mode in the bios, then whenever i tried to boot, it froze at the beginning of the "Starting WIndows" screen, blue screened for a sec and restarted.
I read somewhere that i needed to install windows on the SSD while in raid mode, so i wiped the drive and did the reinstall while in raid mode, but after the installation and windows starting for the 1st time it wouldn't boot again and i had the same problem as before.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
