Hello,
I'm having trouble reaching stable fps in CS:GO these days and I get annoying fps drops. I've been running the game at 1080p, everything maxed out, turning off only v-sync, blur and no AA. I was getting somewhere between 180 and 220 fps with no noticeable fps drops but suddenly today my fps was ranging from 64 fps up to 234 fps. So I tried to cap it, using fps_max command and before I tried capping it with RivaTuner and I tried 160 fps and 140 fps. Anyway nothing changed and I was still getting huge fps drops, dropping to 70 fps! So I tried scaling down some settings and it looked good for a while and then again fps started dropping.
My specs:
Mobo: Asus Z87-A
CPU: Intel i5-4670K running at 3.4 GHz
GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 760
RAM: Kingston HyperX 8 GB
Some 60Hz monitor from BenQ
I'm planning to OC my CPU when I upgrade to a better cooler.
Anyway I left the fps uncapped in Classic Offensive and I don't see any issues with it. So what are your recommendations? I'm pretty sure that even if I cap the fps at 60 I'll still have these drops. I also don't want to lower my settings too much.
Any help is appreciated.
