  1. Hmmmm, can it be seen in disk management?
  2. @refinedskillz save the whole string of text including the registry version 5.0 into not pad and saves as .reg instead of .txt. make sure you select all files from the drop down.
  3. Alternatively you could copy and paste the below text into a word document and save it as a .reg file and run the reg file as admin to automatically do it for you. Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\StorageDevicePolicies] "WriteProtect"=dword:00000000
  4. Open Regedit Navigate to the following key Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ CurrentControlSet\Control Select control and rick click > Create new Key and name it StorageDevicePolicies Then in that new key right click and create new dword name it WriteProtect and set the value to 0 it doesn't matter if the vaule is hex or decimal as 0 is 0 either way. See the article @Shiwoon mentioned earlier it is mentioned in there as well.
  5. Yeah that's kind of what I was thinking. Trying to do as much research as possible, As I know how important a 1st impression is. Thank you for your response.
  6. you should be able to create a new key in the registry if one doesn't exist.
  7. I would say since you are disabling the AP on the router you buy and using the Ubiquiti for the AP Gigabit ports would be the first step. Beyond that you would probably want to look at things like Quailty of Service control and advanced features like that.
  8. So I have started a blog over at Tekularity.com as a way to keep up IT skills and be able to help people out. Part of helping people out, as well as adding valuable content to my blog would be doing technology reviews. I have read online that you should review things you own first and I am working on those reviews now. I want to get it out of the way now that I am willing to put in the work and dedication as I believe even if a company gives me a product free of cost there is still work that has to go into it like reviewing the product that kind of thing. What I would like to know is if anyone knows companies that are more receptive of newer bloggers asking for products to review. I am open returning the products as well. I know that part of growing a blog audience is also participating in forums which I am currently doing and I'm learning that it is also another huge source of information and a way to sharpen my skills as well and help people out. As a service desk analyst I use forum quite frequently but it's more absorb content rather than create. So far I have been really pleased with this community and that is why I am asking for your guys help. Thank you!
  9. I am really hoping to pick up the Corsair K70 Keyboard. I really would like a mechanical keyboard. Black Friday is done online now as well. Newegg runs black november. If you sign up for their mailing list. Stores in the EU probably won't do black friday but online retailers will and they will also do cyber monday.
  10. I am not entirely sure what you are asking here? If you are asking if it is safe to flash your motherboard, I would say the answer is yes. Use the EZ flash from ASUS. That tool is awesome. I have never had issues flashing my BIOS with that. If you had a difficult time from Windows last time, you can install it from a flash drive. May be a more direct way of doing it.
  11. Sounds good. Thank you!
  12. Thank you that is what I thought lol
  13. I know a guy who thinks he knows everything, when it is clear he is wrong on so many levels. So one day we are talking about record setting OC for CPU's and the guy was like yeah I overclocked my Processor to 15GHz, but it only lasted a few minutes. I'm all over here like you know the fastest clock on an over clock is like 9 point something right and they had to cool it with Liquid Nitrogen. Believe it was an i7 if someone could let me know that would be great!
  14. If reinstalling Windows didn't help. It could be a hardware problem. I might suggest try running it base with out OC. Just to see what happens. Also make sure all of your drivers such as chipset, GPU, Mobo etc are all up to date. Could be a simple driver that is crashing the PC. You can do a clean install of Windows if you would like, that could help. Maybe it is an update causing the issue? Some simple things to try.
  15. Awesome! keep us posted.
