I don't care if you use AdBlock or not, but general consensus sees you as a dick. And Linus' response to the situation was not well handled, as his apology felt forced as well. Linus, Eric Schmidt is not the only person who can fix issues at Google. There are people specifically put there to complain to. And calling your fans names is something even TB knew was wrong and it has affected him pretty bad.

sounds suspiciously sarcastic to me, as in, he knows youtube is flawed, but he cant do anything about it.

but there are many useless profitable ads to block like for eg: live sex, chat for free on fake websites, scams, some feckless crap and etc!
linus is running legit ads and that's legally profitable, there is absolutely nothing wrong with it! he isn't forced to apologise, i know that feeling being forced for doing something right otherwise he was right, without ads and support he wouldn't have gained a single cent from the videos he makes and the forums he's running!
