  1. Just did, everything is below 40 atm, so nothing wrong at all there..
  2. Woops. It's a b250, not 350. Edited it, thanks
  3. Hi,I recently decided to build my first pc after owning a prebuilt for about 3 years, however, after a fun and informative building session my new pc would not post. I ended up shoeboxing the motherboard and completely remounting it, it worked.. (So I'm guessing the motherboard was probably touching the case and therefore shorting?).I've been having lots of fun with it for about a week untill I wanted to turn it on and it just wouldn't. I just unplugged the power cable and put it back in after a couple of seconds because I really didn't know what was causing this, and it worked again. That is up untill I was showing my pc to a friend of mine a couple of hours later and it just turned itself off and on again.. I tried replugging the PSU cables and it turned on again, but it it turned off and on again when I remounted the side panel. The only thing that is getting power when it's not willing to boot is the motherboard, or at leasts the red lights that are on there. I'm guessing the psu is faulty but I'd love some advice.Specs:Asus b250-plus prime motherboardi5 7400 cpu16 gigs of ddr4 ramcorsair TX650M psuevga 980ti hybrid250gigs samsung evo ssdThanks!
  4. It would eventually be for 1440p gaming, so I guess it's okay, but I might invest in second hand i7
  5. Hello there, Before you read further I would recommend you read my reddit post first, I wrote it a couple of days ago when I still wasn't sure if I actually got scammed or not. Be aware though, I was confused, sad and angry at the same time and just wanted to get it all off my chest so it's maybe kinda long --> https://www.reddit.com/r/pcmasterrace/comments/66dfe1/probably_got_scammed_by_a_seemingly_good_member/ So I know for sure now, even though this guy kept me on his friendlist for a couple days more and kept asking if I fixed things with coolermaster yet, I checked my steam just now and I see that he not only deleted me as a friend, he also blocked me. He scammed me and I can't f***ing believe it. I can't believe that a person who has a following on youtube and his steamgroup, with a discord channel that he is active on daily, and converses on with his fans, has actually scammed me, and it pissed me the f*** off. We actually talked about both of us getting scammed in the past. I do not want to 'get over it'. On the contrary, I did enough research on his profile back when he was still on my friend list to still have his Discord, youtube channel, etc.. and I don't want this guy to just get away with this, people need to know. I feel like an absolute ass for bothering coolermaster with this, but it was actually possible that they gave a stolen key seeing as they got it from kinguin (a keyselling marketplace) and at the time I really had no reason not to believe him, he had nothing in common with the usual scammer, or maybe I'm just unexperienced with the smarter scammers. Although he's not that smart if he uses his actual profile with personal info to scam people.. As you might've read in the reddit post, I gave him a division key with collectors edition loot, which he said he wouldn't use, I can't check it myself as I already own the game, but I would be up for a giveaway. I'll randomly select a winner out of everyone that does anything to let him know what's up, extra entry per platform you reach him on! If he actually did redeem the key, well, welcome to the club! Let me know what you think I really just wanted to ask some advice on here, maybe there's a better solution to this. If someone here can actually verify that I can post his steam account, youtube channel and discord on here, then I will, so you can see yourself. But for now I'll just see what you guys think Never. Trust. Anyone wanting to trade gamekeys on steam pretty much.
  6. doesn't the bottleneck depend on the games I'll be playing? Like if they're more cpu bound or not
  7. Hi there, I've had my side-chick for almost 3 years now, she's a low budget msi motherboard (I can't find the name, it's a small one with only 2 memory slots) and there's an i5 4460, 8GB of ram, 1TB storage and a gtx780 installed on it. Back in November, I bought a m65 pro and a wireless void from corsair, to pair with my K70. Instantly I ran into problems when I had to install their new version of CUE for muh rgb to work, only it did not work correctly. It recognized my new mouse and headset, although my mouse stuttered at first but I fixed that, it could not recognize my K70, after fiddling around and asking corsair what's up, they told me that they all needed USB3 in order to work correctly. I checked my pc and they were all USB3 except one of two ports on the front (the blue ports are usb3 and the black ones are 2 right?). But after some fiddling around I plugged my K70 usb's on 2 seperate usb ports under the other ones on the back. It worked, Finally. A month later the holidays came around and my gf gave me a Polaris! Only that made things much much worse.. when I plugged that in everything kinda shit the bed. I used a hub and had to throw that one out because it was obviously too much traffic through that one port. Eventually every frikkin' RGB peripheral got their own usb port. And still it did not work all that correct, my K70 did not give me any problems anymore, but my mousemat and mouse recognition were kinda hit and miss, sometimes they were there, sometimes one of them was, sometimes none. I let that be. Now it's been 4 months, and the problems have been adding up, My wireless void makes this noice every other minute that it's connected or something (actually haven't looked that problem up, I don't use the wireless mode all that much) and every 30 minutes or so, my mouse and audio freezes for a couple of seconds, incredibly annoying. I switched some usb plugs around and it actually fixed the recognition problem (clearly there was one port that dit not like my mouse or any other rgb product) but the other problems remained, so I softreset my pc, because it was loaded with crap anyway and had to be done. Even that did not help and the mouse stuttering was back, even though I fixed that by setting everything to a static color, which I wanted anyway (so maybe this is another indication that my usb ports just cannot handle the power?). I want to upgrade to a gtx 1080 and put an SSD in there with it, but I'm afraid that my usb's are actually faulty. I might actually be retarded too, so if there's some easy solution to this or if my ports are actually usb2, which I'm pretty sure they are not, I want to say sorry in advance. Thanks!
  8. Alright, hit me up with an invite, I'll try and join one of your gaming sessions once I have regained my freedom (important exams next week)
  9. I don't really know canadian prices but keep in mind that you could go with one of those 'tenkeyless' keyboards. They're quite a bit cheaper and it's not like you really need that numpad, unless you're an accountant ofcourse
  10. Woops, I meant blackwidow chroma
  11. So I've been looking into RGB mechanical keyboards lately. Why? Because my steelseries 6vg2 is great but I miss the backlighting of my razer lycosa. I also own a razer deathadder chroma so an RGB keyboard would pair nice with that. After days of researching and litterally getting sick of wasting this much time on it, I have 3 options: - 110 euro's: a razer blackwidow chroma, it's a used one and that's why it's cheap. However, I feel like the blue switches would annoy my friends when I'm on teamspeak.. - 150 euro's: a corsair K70 RGB, also a used one but not really cause it is still sealed (some dude that won it but doesn't need it). I love the looks of it, and the key switches are silent. However, they're red's and I would've preferred the browns. - 160 euro's: The logitech g910 orion spark, this one is new, would buy it in my local electronic store. The romer g switches look perfect for me, but the keycaps look horrible and so does the overall look of the keyboard. (it just wouldn't fit with my current setup). And then my last option. Save my money and keep my 6vg2. 150 Euro's is a lot of money for a student like me and my 6vg2 with the mx cherry black's is doing just fine. Besides I've been wanting a 3ds for a while and the new one is being sold used for around a 130 euro's.. I would just like your honest none fanboy'ish opinions on this, thanks
