    My advice as a newbie would be to just play around in PCPartspicker. See what you like, and research the individual items. If not that, then just check out the builds on here already posted by other users. They are solid and they fit your budget

    Yeah, I make a good habit of never having my batter in if I am just going to stay in one place. I do keep it charged when I take it out, but that's only because I plug it back in because I need portability.

    Power supply is lacking among other things. I'd look at other hardware stuff, it's most likely not your CPU

    I don't have the hardware for 4k yet so I don't even try it. But 1440p still looks incredible and that is what I recommend

    That is one big freaking monitor. Biggest I would go is 32" lol. More inches the merrier I guess. Looks great, btw!

    Not worth to wait in my opinion. Get the 4790k, it's a good processor

    I say it's a pretty good board. Have had a friend use one but he upgraded a few months earlier. You should be fine

    I still have a GTX 280 hooked up to an older machine. It runs a few games just fine, though much lower to what I usually play with of course

    I would go for the 960. Both are good but the worst 960 really is not bad. Go for that or the R9

    Yup, check your temperatures. Often times if it is heating up too much, there can be some burnout in the card. If that is the case, update here with more information and we will help you.

    Do you have a proper cooling system? Haha, jokes aside. I have had that numerous times with my friends.

    Yup, I have owned a 970 before and love it. I use it for 1440p and it works perfectly.
