  1. I'm attemtping to update bios and there are no devices listed when I get into the flash menu. Ultimately I'm trying to solve my new 3090 no display issue. I've tried the normal things already like making sure the connections are secure. The card itself has fan spin on post. Just thought I would try a bios update next but it seems I'm having trouble with that now lol Forgot to add that it's a gigabyte z390 designare.
  2. Probably a good idea. Done!
  3. So heres the story. I had/still have a pair of Sennheiser HD8DJ's. They are great, but I was looking for an upgrade. Bought a pair of Audio Technica ATH M50x's and they sound even better, but they are missing that kick/bass that the HD8's have. Are there any recommendations you guys can give me that have both the sound quality of the M50x's and the HD8's? Budget probably about $600 to $800. Amp I am using is a creative soundblaster x7.
  4. Looks like it is my amp. Plugged my headphones directly into a headphone port on my computer and no issues whatsoever. Going to have to contact the company about this. Thanks for your help!
  5. External. I've got a Creative Audio SoundBlaster x7. I also have a blue yeti microphone that I have plugged my headphones into now and the issues have disappeared.
  6. I've confirmed it's not the headphones. How can I narrow this down even further? Is it really truly the motherboard?
  7. Hey there, so my headphones have just started acting weird all of a sudden. I was just doing some work in unity and listening to some YouTube, when all of a sudden the audio volume spiked and gave me a near heart attack(lol). Whats weird is that both the Windows and YouTube audio levels were both unchanged, it's as if the headphones themselves just got louder all of a sudden. To add to that, there is this very noticeable static hiss now. What has happened? Oh and I've got a pair of Sennheiser HD8 DJ's.
  8. I have this issue where desktop view won't work correctly whilst I'm playing phasmophobia. It works just fine in VRChat or job simulator. I'm curious to know if anyone else has this issue or if it's just me. I can view my desktops just fine but the trouble comes with interacting with them. The "mouse" doesn't allow me to click anything. Every time I want to interact with my desktop, I have to take off my headset and do stuff manually. Are there any ideas out there?
  9. I'll have to try this. I've reset my PC again, this time only the OS drive and I've left my other drives unplugged. The only things I've installed are discord and steam and 1 game from my steam library. I've signed in to my google account so that everything is synced. And the issue still occurs. I'll have to take some time tomorrow or the day after to try with just chrome installed and nothing else.
  10. Hello forum members, I seem to be having an issue all of a sudden that has caused me a great deal of inconvenience. This started like 4 or 5 weeks ago. The issue is this: Whenever I open up a new tab in chrome and go to a website or use google search, 3 things happen all at once. My computer will alt-tab to all programs that are open, whether it be discord, steam or some other 3rd thing. If I currently have it open when the problem occurs, my computer will alt-tab to everything that's open. 2nd thing that happens is I lose control of my ability to type anything. I cannot type anything in a search bar, in a chat message or any text field. My keyboard just stops working entirely. 3rd thing that happens is a new browser window pops open with some random minimized website. Weird thing is, once that new random website goes away, I regain my ability to use the keyboard and type stuff. Not sure how the 2 are linked. Here is what I have tried this far: I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling windows, I have tried resetting my PC, I have tried formatting all of my drives and I was advised to try a new keyboard. I can tell it isn't a virus because I ran a virus scan with Malwarebytes and came back clean. Not sure what could be causing this but its getting annoying and I would like to get it fixed!
  11. I haven't really looked into the benefits of 7 channel audio though. I'm not really a competitive gamer, so I don't think I need directional audio as much as the next guy. I was looking at the steelseries arctis pro, which is definitely an option. Just wanted to see if there was anything else out there I might be missing out on.
  12. I didn't know that, no. I am unsure of how well they would act as a replacement for a standard pair of headphones though, compared to my current Sennheiser HD8-DJ's. Does that makes sense? I kinda feel like these Sennheisers are meant for desktop use, whereas the Sony's are meant more for mobile devices. Like, I'm pretty sure I won't be needing an amp with the Sony's.
  13. Not really looking for a gaming headset, I've had so many of those in the past that just feel cheap and not up to the same quality as just a regular pair of headphones with a separate mic, which is what I would like to do. Planning on the antlion modmic 5 wireless.
