    Hi guys, my laptop's audio is not working properly. The thing is it shows the master volume to be at a positive percentage, the drivers are updated and everything but sometimes the output is 0 from the laptop side itself, my speakers and headphones work perfectly fine with my phone. This problem occurs 50% of the time nowadays. Sometimes when i restart the problem goes. i thought maybe it was a driver update problem so i uninstalled and updated the driver twice, once from the windows updation itself and once from the realtek website. both the times the speakers of the laptop worked. But now 2 days past that the problem occurs again, almost 50% of the time. help guys ? there are no viruses in the system i guess, i just recently had a full pc check. thank you !

    Hi guys, This is a touch one- Bought a new laptop - model no hp x360 14 cd0087tu has an 8th gen i5, 128gb ssd but no graphics card , so integrated graphics only yesterday, i played csgo for the first time in 3 months on this laptop and ofcourse it got heated but not by much. I'd say it handled the game well and I'd consider it a 30-40 min casual gameplay. The backstory- I was high, it was late at night and we used the hp touch pen for acout 10 minutes for fun and sketches and then played cs. Now, after that, I was listening to some songs on youtube on high volume( dont know if it matters ) and put my head in a 'head down' position for about 20 seconds maybe . Next thing i know, when i put my head up, i had these weird lines on my laptop in the bottom portion. These were vertical lines. the touch is working on that area although but it is a bit grayish and it seems that the quality of the screen display output in that portion is of lower resolution. I have attached snapshots. Please do see them. I did not break the laptop, touch the laptop, it didnt fell down, nothing hit it. IDK what happened. but it happened. I am in urgent need of help as I am a student and cannot wait for HP care to sort this thing out which will definitely take weeks. If my screen is lost then the only choice is HP, until then im open to suggestions. I'm thinking this is due to overheating or some battery issue ? IDK !! Thanks in Advance

    i get your point . but i never said which one's better. lol i never forgot about this i was very high watching a doom 2016 speedrun and was so impressed by it. the question was which is more impressive. to me a 100m sprinter is more impressive. just a matter of opinion. even though he might be a little less efficient or whatever less performance ? idk compared to a marathon runner , it just is more impressive thats why i wanted to ask i was high as fuck when i posted it i dont even remember what i was thinking back then .

    The gram is way too expensive here also, the xps is like 80k but it has a touch screen . Does the touch screen work well for a long time?

    Hi guys, you have helped me in the past and i'm here again to ask for your help in buying a new thin and light or something along those lines. I have 70k indian rupees to spare (1000 usd give or take but laptops are pricey here so around 850-900 usd ) I require a laptop for basically productivity tasks like excel , skype , office and other business related stuff, a good screen as i will get bored mostly as i recently got into a management institute. the laptop can go over the current price range but i hope it doesnt. the laptop should have - 7th gen i7 or 8th gen i5 atleast 256gb ssd or more (and or) high capacity hdd great screen- 1080 p full hd IPS panel pls 8gb ram windows 10 it would not be a gaming laptop but a dedicated graphics can help. aso if intel hd graphics can run smoothly for 2 years without failing in the above tasks then im in. screen could be between 13 and 15, can be 15.6 but then it should be light. and should be lightweight- thats why im trying to rule out hp pavillion series and dell inspiron series but can come back to these options if nothing else comes out of this thread after some discussion ive finalised hp envy notebook , dell xps 13 , and macbook air but i hope you guys can help with whether these are the right fit or not or can advise some other laptops . thank you guys in advance ...

    also , im currently gonna game on 1080 p for a long time (1-2 yrs) so is trading a 7870 required ? (i dont really care about above 60 fps gaming ) also i dont really play a lot of AAA titles. i might go into twitch so is the ryzen better or the i5 ?

    hey man! thanks !! also , an 8400 is better than a ryzen 5 1600 isnt it ? our dear linus already said that its the best gaming processor (apart from i7s )

    The case doesn't have usb 3 , I don't have any thunderbolt usage or usb c type usage . The PSU is 540 watt bronze.

    Domo fellow forum members , I request your advice for parts for a gaming rig I'm trying to bring together . The cost should be around 40-45 k (Indian) Im thinking of an i5 8400 , a not so ecstatic motherboard ( no rgb) , 8 gb single stick memory and an SSD for Windows and windows 10 too . I have a good antec psu , a good case and a 7870 ghost with 1 tb HDD . Can you guys help with the motherboard , ram and SSD and what should I do with the 7870 and the case . Pls also tell me if I have a pirated windows on my HDD , can I put an original one in the ssd and still use my HDD data ? ( D and E drives ) ?? Thank you guys !
