  1. Currently I am running an aging 2011 socket Intel 3820 on a MSI X79-GDA45 Plus. I have an Asus Strike 1070 plugged in. I have learned that the 3820 only supports PCI-e 2.0. Some people say it does still support 3.0 and some say no. My question is does any one know whether this is true or not. Should I trust the spec limitations of Intel's website. Should I be looking to upgrade to a 4960x as I am not prepared to build a new system. GPU seems to be bottlenecked. Thanks for any help.
