  1. 12700K would benefit from an AIO if you overclock. But then you shouldn't be buying K series Adler Lake when Raptor Lake is coming out next week. 13700K/13600K.
  2. Main difference being that the economy was hot back then, today the sales have stalled so AMD, Nvidia and Intel have to make stuff available and with attractive prices to sell anything at all.
  3. Now is time to wait. RDNA3 is being announced November 3rd. 4080 comes out in November too.
  4. AK400, AK620, Fuma 2 rev. B, Dark Rock 4, Shadow Rock 3, NH-12US all those can easily cool down 5800x3d and are pretty cheap.
  5. It depends on how long you keep the computer on per day. Pumps have a lifetime, but if they are off they do not usually wear out. If you run your PC on 24/7 I'd say ~5 years is what you can reasonably expect out of them. Generally not an issue.
  6. 5800x3d can't be overclocked and it's a peak 180W CPU. 360 radiator is a huge waste of money for it. Get one of the larger air coolers, will be just as quiet, more reliable and cheaper. Throw whatever money you save towards a GPU 3060ti is a big jump from a 3060.
  7. Largest OLED 120Hz TV you can buy.
  8. It's going to be fine for a budget unit. Zalman is a proper company, so is EVGA.
  9. There really isn't a market for this. Most people apply thermal paste to the CPU once. And even if there is squeeze-out it doesn't do anything at all. This product is for tech reviewers and people who have some sort of OCD.
  10. Feint lines on solid backgrounds are an unfortunate reality of huge panel TVs. It's called a "dirty screen effect". OLEDs usually have even more banding. OLED: LCD: You can try returning, but it would be a lottery if you get a "better" panel, they all do it to some extent.
  11. Does the 3090 reach 97-99% load when you play games? If it does then you won't benefit much. In terms of money I'd say it's best to wait until like Zen 5 with 3d cache and then jump platforms.
  12. 3070 is quite a bit faster at the same wattages, just because of the larger core. That being said 3060 is enough for current games, can't predict the future.
  13. Better is very relative. MSI B660 boards like A PRO, TOMAHAWK or MORTAR are super cheap while having good enough VRM's for the i7. Everything else comes down to features, do you need more USB ports? More M.2 slots? More SATA ports? That's what you should think about. Having iGPU is sometimes nice because GPU's can fail so you don't get stuck without a computer and also it can be useful for troubleshooting. But it's also a valid way to save 30 moneys. It's more than enough for the i7 in a good case like the Meshify 2 Compact. I'd go with 850W since GPU's are generally getting hungrier and the price difference between 750W and 850W is pretty small. 1000W is not worth the price jump.
  14. I think it's between HP X27q and Asus VG27BQ TUF, since those are the only ones with acceptable ergonomics. I'd go with HP since it's IPS, which generally has better colours out of the box.
  15. A380 seems like a waste of sand type of card. It's slower than my 1060 that I am getting rid of and it costs more money.
  16. This is the correct answer. GPU is like an external device in terms of PC hardware. CPU is running things, it just gives instructions to the GPU and GPU spits out images.
  17. You could buy Fuma 2 rev. B, no clearance issues and similar performance.
  18. Why would you bother really. If you want a cheap option that does well in content creation just buy a used 3060 or a 2060. If anything having a beta card for work is a thousand times worse than for gaming, if you experience any issues it will hurt.
  19. You open the show folder on plex and choose Fix Match option. But that still only works if there is that show at all in the Plex library.
  20. Give it 10 years. Considering even todays titles still try to be hard drive compatible, SATA SSD's will force devs to support them for a decade. Properly maxed out PCIe Gen 3 SSD is going to be blazing fast.
  21. Considering DirectStorage is still not a thing it's as good as any other SSD.

  24. At 1080p it would definitely become a bottleneck, in 1440p not as much. I think if you want to squeeze out the most out of 1500 USD you should get something like this.
