  1. I can't attest for how they last, but I put it in my new loop today in Cloud White.
  2. No. you need Advanced compression fittings or barb fittings only for soft tubing. Rigid tubing has a lot different design including o-rings.
  3. Yeah at this rate I’m probably going to end up canceling my 9900k and just delidding my 8700k
  4. Nice to see a real world chip. Did it come tray I’m guessing? Zero people in the US are showing to have received retail packaging
  5. Killing hyper threading and adding 2 physical cores is a much better gain than many imagine if you are a gamer or even a gamer trying to run 2 VM on one PC. Supporting intel or not is not the question since people will always preorder anticipating this kind of shortage. Sad part is the preorder allotment should have been held to tighter standards in order to not saturate the wait.
  6. As far as I can see very very few people were able to get hands on this chip today. Retail stores I checked had 0 stock in as of today. I preordered on amazon by noon on the day it was announced (October 8th) and have zero updates from amazon other than it’s available but sold out while my account shows the boiler point we don’t have an estimate for this product. Has as anyone received at least tracking information or a chip at this point?
  7. running a 2080 at 3440x1440 which is approaching 4k demand, at 120hz. Using my 2080 with an 8700k I see the following PUBG: 80-110 FPS maxed Far Cry 5: 80-90 FPS Ultra Quality Shadow of The Tomb Raider: 56 avg bench mark maxed, 90 avg turning down some shadows, turning off TSAA no motion blur and hairworks of course off Destiny 2: Maxed - 100-120 fps depending on draw distance in the scene and number of NPC / Players Blackops IV Maxed - 120 Forza Horizon 4 benchmark - 88 avg. Ring of Elysium "maxed": 90-120 most of the time Assassin's Creed Odyseey: 56 fps with some settings turned down - benchmark result in game its much better so far. Assassin's Creed Origins: 72 FPS with some settings turned down - benchmark result A good 4k Gsync 60hz monitor should do well with a 2080, but without gsync most games will likely need a step down in settings to be smooth. AC series (newer) and shadow of the tomb raider likely wont be enjoyable at 4k
  8. Also, download the Forza Horizon 4 demo from the windows store and use the benchmarking tool. It will display what your bottleneck is (CPU or GPU)
  9. Download and run superposition in extreme 1080p against both cards. I bet you find your difference.
  10. https://www.pcgamer.com/nvidia-releases-a-game-ready-gpu-driver-for-the-windows-10-october-update/
  11. the apple joke aside - not part of the argument - at all. Just giving folks information on new drivers - I use an RTX-2080 and a GTX-1080 - both were severely effected unfortunately. On the 1080 I backed the drivers to the previous, on the 2080 I'm keeping them as is for the time being since I keep the system fully up to date. Folks who haven't updated, probably shouldnt. That being said I'm working on AC benchmarks, part of the reason I'm keeping it to recent driver releases. Shadow of the tomb raider took a 5% hit as well and had a 500mb patch that coincided with the windows update.
  12. yes. It's more of a stab at a joke, Nvidia isn't doing it either - they still support driver updates for the 6 and 7 series... and the iPhone 6s plus is still the most recommended iPhone
  13. All those apple rumors about them pushing poor performing OS updates onto older devices to make them sluggish in order to encourage upgrading
  14. There was a decent article about it I read this morning that has to do with Direct X being a major part of the change. Superposition went from scoring 7500 down to 6700 as another reference.
  15. More like "Nvidia takes note from Apple and starts outdating its own hardware??"
  16. The latest nvidia / windows updates seem to cause a hit in performance on the RTX series cards, and from initial observation it changes the performance of 10 series as well. The drivers and windows update are for implementing the ray tracing in the near future (partly). The cost, however, is 10% loss in frame rates and benchmark scores. The cause - incompatibility with certain over clocking software, the card does NOT boost as it should and the memory downclocks to factory. I updated EVGA Precision X1 and was able to get my overclock back to "normal" levels, but performance is still 5% shy of where it was in benchmarks and real world testing. Running the Forza Horizon 4 benchmark, the CPU scores remain consistent with previous results, but GPU scores fell by 5 frames on everything (average, min, max). Just a fair warning for folks.
  17. my name sake pets. Gaboon Viper and Russell's Viper
  18. of course its going to be exaggerated by photography - however - if its bothering you, then a replacement is in order. My AW34 shows no significant backlight bleed. No my original or my replacement I received after the panel went out.
  19. Unlikely, boost stability is pretty solid guestimation at overclocking ability on these cards. My card boosted to around 1925 on its own, and 2075 is where I boost after bumping my OC to its max stability. Download EVGA Precision x1 and run the scanner to see what clock rating it gives you to plug in. Try that and go from there. Memory is where these guys are stupid powerful. Mine can hold at +2100mhz overclock, while my friends I overclocked (mine is reference, his is gigabyte windforce) hits +1700 but only +100 on clocks.
  20. There is a DVi dual to display port included in the box
  21. Invalid score thanks to system mark not wanting to EVER work anymore
  22. Today only, the DxO One iphone camera is crazy cheap compared to launch / current pricing. It's 112.49 with amazon prime on the daily deal. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01L25N77O/ref=od_aui_detailpages00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 https://www.bhphotovideo.com/explora/photography/hands-review/field-test-dxo-one-serious-camera-your-phone It's a product that was not well received due to it's initial cost vs benefit since at the time you could easily grab a standalone camera with the same technology, a better zoom lens (or an actual zoom lens in this case) for the same price (at retail, it competes with the likes of the RX100). At this current price, this is a solid option to upping your photography capabilities with better ISO sensitivity thanks to the larger sensor, better depth of field thanks to the lens design / larger sensor, and relative compactness of the setup. Yes it requires an iPhone, and the company filed for bankruptcy in August, but have said the warranty's will still be honored for the time being. I have not found any reports for iPhone Xs compatibility, however, it is compatible with the iPhone x which suggest it should be. This is not a revolutionary step up from your iPhone camera in all terms. However, it can be a valuable tool for travel photography in the right hands.
